the first time they participated was in 1999 and they won the Miss Universe pageant..

Very clear. Not the most beautiful, but I have seen women at the Miss Universe competition WIN, not only based on outward beauty but because they were wise, broad in their consideration. Miss Trinidad and Tobago, years ago, was a good example of this. Wendy Fitzgerald I believe was her name.
