  • Love this poem!!

  • Thx good job. Keep shining my sister

  • @ebaysingers SMOOCHES! *wink*

  • Thats was inspring, really great delivery. Also, I love you =]

  • religion nees to be left out of poetry, it ruins the vibe, i go from feeling

    'wow this is something'

    then to

    'damn bible bashers'

  • @MrHazeification I feel ya hunni :-) If you watched my other vids, you'd know I'm far from a bible thumper. I just loved the message in this poem. Reminds me of my own strength :-)

  • @MrHazeification Last time I looked poetry was about the expressed feelings of the poet, whether religious or non-religious.

  • this quote is amazing...the religious parts are unneeded. its a great example of how we can be great human beings without religious virtues, but rather through thought and human experience...nonetheless, great poem, speech, quote, whatever....just truly inspiring words

  • @avilesnba I totally agree with you. Religion is not necessary in order to step into your own greatness. I speak about that a lot in my other videos. My message is about mental freedom, which leads to empowerment.

  • i love the emphasis on mental freedom...it seems like everything in todays society is designed to cage us within our own fears, within our own concerns that revolve life, where in reality the emphasis should be on a freedom that goes beyond a physical state and into a mental one. Its only then that we would be able to truly advance as a human civilization...

  • I LOVE This poem, I spoke on it in my new motivational video. Check it out when you get a chance.

  • @WomanInTransition Sweet! Will do! :-)

  • We (the children of God) are the light of the world, so let your light shine..

  • @MsVirtuouswoman1 Love, love, love it!

  • Awesome Job!!!! Keep letting that light shine! :)

But Ummm, NO, Don't do this, leave me sittin' here like Wut? Who da?Wut? "Denzel who"?

  • @Slikbeetz How could you miss the powerful message in this poem hunni? Hmmm...? Interesting, very interesting.

  • What does this poem mean?

  • Still flying High from last Sunday, I will Buckle my Seat an Prepare for

a Absolutely Divine Exhilarating Visceral Flight into the Recondite

Abstruseness with, King Rev. Dr.Michael Bernard Beckwith and Rickie

  • thanx you helped me leanr it fast!! hahah extra credit for english class!!!

  • @ahs20111 lol! yay!

  • it don't get any realer than this... thumbs up all day

  • @zeke1132 THANKS A BUNCH!

  • It's a great poem, but I prefer Timo Cruz's version in Coach Carter. I always feel uncomfortable when people talk about "god." The movie version left out the part that talks about being one of god's children and personally it's so much more effective for me.

  • @thewisconsinboy I used to feel uncomfortable when people used the word "god" too because most of the time when it is used it's completely tainted by religion. When I say god in this poem, I'm actually referring to the boundless energy source that connects us all. I believe in our own inner greatness, but I do not believe in religion. Thanks for watching! :-)

  • @estari4life

i hope to reach my goals, and make my dreams come true..and shine :))) thanks for ur reply!!

  • You delivery was strong yet gentle, goes straight to my heart everytime brillant

    You made it alive

  • @queenr24 Thank you so much for the compliment. I truly love this poem and I equally love when people are able to be still enough to appreciate it. :-)

  • i prefered the actor on coach carter, his delivery was amazing.

  • @ImSoBlazed His delivery certainly was amazing. Clearly I'm not an actor, but I do love this particular poem. Thanks for watching.

  • @estari4life Your welcome, you delivered it well too, good job.

  • @estari4life You're welcome, keep it up:-)

  • @ImSoBlazed His delivery was great HOWEVER, i recently noticed that he didnt even say the whole poem. womp womp. And those who complain about the religious component get over it. The woman who wrote this poem obviously added that part for a reason. That's the problem with some people today, you cant just accept something for what it is and to complain about God...tisk tisk like i said get over it

  • @CalienteBonita I haven't expressed any negative comments like the one's you have listed..?

  • I think your delivery is wonderful. Thank you for putting this on youtube!

  • Marianne wialliamsom in her book Return to love

  • I love Marianne Williamson and this is one of her best messages to humanity.

Her book "A Return To Love" is a classic as far as I'm concerned.

  • Deep thoughts ....Im feel this one...stop thru sometimes

  • Yeah, the message is quite inspiring.

  • I loved this when Nelson Mandela used it and I love it when you speak it...Shine on, you wonderful, wonderful soul!

  • It's such a wonderful poem, isn't it? It's been used in so many movies because of it's universal message about the true nature of the human spirit. I heard it years ago and the words never left me. :-)

  • Is that a poem?

  • Yes, even though it doesn't rhyme at all. :-) But I can still feel the magnitude of the message. Can you sweetie?

  • Sure. Pretty powerful stuff.

  • Thank you...

  • You are so welcome ;-)
