  • thanks

  • I've got a HP G60-531CA, 4GB RAM, 2.1 GHz, 64-Bit Win7. Looking at going up to 8GB, the laptop in this is older obviously (Video was released in 2008) And I'm somewhat new to HPs, Any major differences in upgrading RAM since then? PM me or something. Please.

  • just now i upgraded from 1gb (512mb x 2) to 2gb x 2 ,brand is toshiba but in properties it is showing me 3gb of memory instead of showing 4gb

can uploader or any one tell me y that would be

  • I have a lenovo t61p and the same thing here. It is because the computer is able to hold* 4gb of ram, but can only use 3gb of ram. I don't fully understand this but its not my field haha

  • i have a dell with 4 gigs of ram and a 320 harddrive for 650 from bestbuy, it owns, plus its 64 bit :]

  • kick ass my Compaq f700 broke and it had 2 gig ram and 175 harddrive and 32 bit for 600 i got ripped!

  • thanx

  • thanx

  • wanted to say thanks, helped me remove a stick of my ram =)

  • that was a good demonstration. i see you have a 12cell battery. do you have to run anything after installing the ran. a friend told me that he took his laptop to bestbuy to add 1G of ram. he said they installed a software after they install the software. I think he got ripped off. Bye!!!

  • never go to best buy they rip you off

    all the time

  • There's no need to install software, RAM is plug-in-play. The only problem that I can think of that might be the software update would maybe be the BIOS on the laptops motherboard. It might of been obsolete and therefore could not read the full capacity of the ram.

Ex : You buy a 1 GB ram stick but your PC or Laptop can only read up to 512 MB.

By the way I would not recommend messing around with your BIOS unless you know what you're doing.
