  • @oilersman75. Try putting a little more pressure on ur index finger, it worked for me and it also puts more spin on the ball

  • oh yeah 97Rockerdude i know a kid who just turned 12 and he throws... 72 miles an hour he has struck me out and i dont strike out

  • im 14 and i dont pitch merry christmas.

  • Ed Goodson (former ML Giants player) told me that you should be concerned at the 12-14 year old range with accuracy and only accuracy. I see alot of HS players later on who can throw 80 mph - who couldn't hit a strike zone to save their mother. Pound the mitt - throws strikes and make your defense make plays. Thats the Greg Maddux method.

My kid CAN throw breaking pitches - I just don't let him unless strategically it makes sense. I much rather him throw strikes and learn control.

  • I love how some of these kids are telling lies about how good they are

  • I am 12 years old and i can throw a fastball in the high 60's.I also can throw a nasty slurve and am getting good at my 12-6. I've learned that when the 12-6 is thrown right the ball drops and the batter swings over the top of the ball which is effective on a 0-2 count

  • im 13 and i can pitch 70mph. i throw a 2 seam 4 seam circle change splitter and a untouchable curveball. if i master the 12-6 i would be a star can i get tips

  • @klingfreek13 here's a tip: quit thinking your a star at the age of 13.

  • @klingfreek13 you're 13, you're not a star, you probably can't throw half of the pitches you named, and you can maybe hit 40 mph. Go drop your balls, don't act so cool on the internet.

  • im 13 i threw a 75mph fastball from a 60ft mound i can throw a 4sfb 2sfb circle change slider and a fastball cut. ive broke my elbow when i wus in majors and i broke my shoulder last year

  • i turned 12 a few days ago and i noe i shouldnt but i noe how to throw it without getting injured and mine is almost untouchable

  • @TeamLightWingsK this pitch wont bother you either way

  • ahhhhaaaa i had to get surgery on my wrist n i cn throw a nasty1 without breakin my wrist

  • I throw a 12-6 curve. I'm a 15 year old lefty who throws in the low 80's, and the 12-6 does wonders if you throw it right. I usually throw it with an 0-2 or an 0-1 count, and, if thrown with the latter, I follow it up with a nice high fastball. Depending on how I release it, it sometimes breaks like a 10-4. Either way, it throws the batter off, which is what you are trying to do.

  • @wgedwards13 Cool, I throw a usual duce.I'm a 16 year old, a righty and I throw a 4SFB around 85. I'm working on my 12-6 but I still release it too soon, I only use it when way ahead on the scoreboard or way behind (that's not too often, lol) because it is usually a base hit or home run. Can you give me any tips on throwing the 12-6?

  • ha the catcher dropped the ball

  • The reality is that we cannot change our genetics. We are basically built to throw the ball just so fast. But, we can all work on making the ball move either with a cut fast ball or in this case, a curve ball. I would be ok with a max velocity of 86 mph if the ball moved 6'' left, right or down at home plate.

  • You can strike out a batter with a properly located fastball as well as with a 12-6curve... i personally liketo strike batters out with sinker or fastball

  • i struck out 154 kids in 46 games

    most with the 12-6

  • hah very modest of you. and shut up youre lying

  • i struck out 203 batters in little league WITH A FASTBALL

  • forget the curveball ricky give em the heater

  • this works really good in pony league baseball cuz not alot of kids throw so the batter doesnt know how to handle the drop

  • deffinatly throw a 12-6 curve if you dont want to injure your elbow. if you throw a "sweeping curve" you will damage your elbow. im only 15 and i already need tommy john surgery because of throwing a "sweeping curve" after switching to a 12-6 curve my elbow barely gives me any pain.

  • ...

  • when you say sweeping curve, do you mean a slurve? If so, you shouldn't be throwing it yet. It puts additional force near the elbow

  • It could be. I just threw more of a 10-4 curve rather than a 12-6. The 10-4 caused me to screw up my elbow which i never ended up getting surgery on but i cant pitch anymore. I had to move to first base.

  • omg i love this pitch im so good at it my 12-6 curvs alot as it drop when i warm up my partner always drops the damnball

  • instead of turning you wrists, which can injure your arm severly, let the ball roll off your finger from the top of your stretch.

  • after about a week of turning my wrist i started getting sore easier so i started letting it roll off my finger and not turning my arm at all it works better especially for a 12 6 curve

  • i throw a 12-6 curve in my baseball curveball video

  • ...info says u're a 2nd baseman

  • yeah, but i still can throw a 12-6 curve
