You're right.

The version on the soundtrack is altered version with just Enrique on his own.

For various behind the scenes reasons the Step Up 2 people chose not release the song or the video.

Rather than let it go to waste Enrique's people put the song on the net but had the clips of the movie removed and the audio changed to that of the original album version ft Lil Wayne.
