  • So you wear it over foundation?

  • @13prettylittleliars You can wear it over foundation, under foundation, or mixed in with your foundation. That's the beauty of the Beams!

  • is moon beam glittery/ sparkly ? xx

  • @MissJessicaellen96 No, no glitters :)

  • pin your hair back

  • GOOD JOB gurl i've seen so many reviews but this one's great! Idk why they blabb too much they should go straight to the point like this video

  • Your look is so pretty in this older video, what did you use on your eyes?? :)

  • @wincora A Stila quad, which is now discontinued :(

  • I only have the sample high beam

  • You look like Sandara Park. ;)

  • Please tell me you did a tutorial on the makeup you're wearing in this...it's BEAUTIFUL!!

  • @SuperstarPrincess13 Yes, it's the Stila Fall make-up :)

  • THNKS SO MUCH FOR THIS REVIEW!

  • If you have cooler undertones would you say high beam can be worn during the day?

  • @HeidiKMakeup Yes :) Just apply it layer by layer until you see the desired intensity!

  • would you recommend moon beam to a person with a combination skin tone ? becuse im worried it might look greasy !

  • @YesItsMeElise They are highlighters but as long as you use them sparingly, you will be just fine!

  • Hiya, I've got tan skin and I don't wear foundation (very simple makeup mascara, blush and sometimes eyeliner) which would you recommend I use, the high beam or moon beam? Thanks (:

  • @ValSia51 Definitely the Moon Beam :)

  • I tried these two today in person and I prefered moon beam because of the goldeny shine. The high beam was too pink for me.

  • Awesome review!

  • I have High Beam and I agree that it can be a little extreme at times (I'm a pasty marshmallow) :D. I usually save it for special occasions or for winter months when my skin looks dull. I do plan to buy Moon Beam though in order to mix it with my moisturizer in hopes of getting a more subtle glow :). (Both products rock and I love your eye makeup)

  • @scorchedcandy Thank you! Have fun with Moon Beam :)

  • YOU ARE AWESOME!

  • I'm decoding rather if I should buy the moon beam or the high beam ... which one would u recommend to a student??? I don't wear foundation and I only wear eye makeup sometimes and I don't go out much in the night so should I buy the moon beam???

  • @foreverchristy1995 Moon Beam sounds like the right one for you! Good luck :)

  • i think im the only one who likes moon beam better

  • Great video and I love the high beam, I feel like a celebrity!!!

  • I bought high beam but I also have a glow on my cheeks.

It does not seem like a wonderful effect.

Do you apply also on the cheecks?

  • @milennio You can indeed apply it to the cheeks! You may not be applying enough if you cannot see it :)

  • This was a very good review/tutorial i always apply with my fingers but will definitely try with a brush now, thanks x

  • @spaceysno1girl You're very welcome!

  • I'm so silly for using my fingers to apply my liquid Benefit products with my fingers -___- Thank you for the tip about lining it up with your pupil!

  • @SupSarahxx You can use your fingers in a pinch but you get better results with a brush! You're welcome :)

  • @RAEview I just bought moonbeam and I'm using my fingers :p

  • @SupSarahxx Great to hear! ^.^

  • love the way you did your eyes! can you do a tutorial on that look? =)

  • @misshmonglo82 There's a tutorial already! It's the Stila Spring 2010 tutorial :)

  • thank so much i hand no idea how to use my high beam and this vid for sure helped

  • @spazpiggy I'm glad to hear it! Thanks for watching :)

  • I just love you... before I go anf buy something I check and see if you've reviewed it, I really value your opinions and your thourough reviews! I mix my moonbeam with my foundation sometimes if I want my skin dewy and glowy :)

  • @Shannybabe1000 Thank you for valuing my opinions :) You are too kind! Thank you <3

  • thank you soooo much!!!!!

  • did you notice that moon beam has a wierd purpleness in it? that was i saw when i went to the store, does it show up on your face? great review :)

  • @xxxmevxxxx No, no such purple on my face - just pink and gold and lovely, dewy skin! :)

  • omg i need the high beam♥

  • hi love the review! but is it sparkly?

  • @g123xqwert No, they are not! :)

  • I really enjoyed watching your video and you explain things very well.

I value your opinion, you seem very honest and thanks for this i just bought the high beam and was a little unsure on how to use it.. Thanks a lot!

  • @1salina4 I'm glad this review came in handy, then! :)

  • You're so gorgeous...thanks for the review!

  • What foundation and concealer are you wearing here? :)

  • @HaaiiiThere I really can't remember but it should be listed in the Stila make-up tutorial :)

  • ok thanks for showing me how to use this :)

  • great review!! very detailed comparison, you deff know what your talking about!

  • this is such a good review :) it's definitely helped me to make my mind up

  • great review, definitely wht I needed to know - thank you sooo much!

  • @S0GLAMorouss You're very welcome!

  • i <3 u for this

  • @MizPromiscuousity Thank you <3

  • awsome review. i love how you don't talk to much and get straight to the point, plus you show a demonstration. Gret review and very nice eyes!

  • @315chu Thank you very much!!

  • luuuuuurvin' the eyes!

  • thanks for comparing the two!!! very helpful :)

  • hey! do you think high beam works over liquid foundation?? i feel like it would rub off the foundation

  • @crystaal008 No, I wait for the foundation to set and then I apply the HB!

  • when would you apply the highlight? like would it be the last step?

  • @neonsunsets I apply it as the very last step of my face make-up, after blusher :)

  • you are beautiful and lovely, this video helps me a lot, i'll try to use my high bean this way! thank you

  • @missesmylla Thank you for the feedback!!

  • this was so useful :D! thanks for the video

I was looking for a natural highlight..nothing to obvious and I heard highbeam was good but im definitely purchasing moon beam now

  • Sadly, the lighting in your room is not great so you cant see either product in good enough detail. I can just about make both out. But thanks for review anyway.

I own Moonbeam, its a great product.

  • very useful.. Thanks! By the way, u remind me a lot of Sandara Park... so pretty!

  • @bahalanakadiha I'm glad you found it useful :) I will have to google Sandara Park now!

  • Please NEVER apply highlighters or illuminators on your "T Zone" the nose, forehead, chin, it is best to ONLY apply on your cheeks. You definitley look oily in this video because you put TOO MUCH on the wrong areas. They are great products, but no matter what less is more.

  • @yourslovelyful I don't look oily in this video. It's the luminosity of the foundation and powder!

  • @yourslovelyful nothing about her skin looks oily.

  • wow great review!! you actually convinced me to buy high beam for myself.. :) anyways, i was just wondering.. what product(s) did you use for your eye makeup, particularly the one on the inner eye area (tear drop)..?

  • @prinsesaleonora You can refer to my Stila Jewel Palette Tutorial for all the information! :)

  • Wowwwww tutorial! I've just subscribed! NEEEDD Advice..Hey, I got really really fair skin but brown hair and brown eyes...what would you say is better: Moon or High Beam?

  • @ArtLookSpirit Thank you! And I think Moon Beam would look absolutely gorgeous against your hair and eyes :)

  • @RAEview thanks alot=) i'll bear that in mind..

  • just found your videos tonight, and you're BEAUTIFUL. love your videos<3! your amazing girly

  • @kewtie26 You are too kind! Thank you very much <3

  • can't decide!!!!!!!!

  • Hello. I was wondering which is better for an everyday school look? I only have enough money to buy one so I was wondering which one I should get.

  • @mewminto211 If you had to choose one, I think High Beam is more versatile for those who have fairer complexions and Moon Beam for those who are more tan :)

  • @RAEview Okay, but I have seen other reviews and most of the other people have different skin tones and still wear High Beam. I have a medium- tan skin type. Do you still think if I get High Beam it will look good on my skin?

  • @mewminto211 If you want High Beam, go for it! There are no rules :) You can just wear less of it during the day

  • @RAEview Thank you so much dear! Have a nice day. :)

  • @mewminto211 You're very welcome and to you, too!

  • u are so pretty.. but pls invest in a brighter light :)

  • @chichillify My newer videos use sunlight!

  • you are soooo pretty and sound like really a nice girl ^_^

  • @qmamzmwm You are too kind :) Thank you very much!

  • Hi. I just started watching you videos. They are amazing and very informative. Thank you. just subbed. Have you tried the Este Lauder Double-wear foundation??

  • @Bebe80833 Thank you! And I have a sample of DW but haven't tried it yet :)

  • do you also have a review on that brush? :))

  • @daemmerung19919 No, I don't :) But it's a good purchase for the price!

  • after ur explaination of the difference, i decided to buy both. haha!!!

  • @yuqiu1988 LOL I hope you enjoy them both, then!

  • you're wearing colored contacts right? your iris's are HUGE

  • @sarah8244 Yes, I am!

  • @RAEview haha ok, i was like amazed :}!

  • what are some drugstore or other dupes that you would compare these to?

  • @minimartini4 I have not found any drugstore alternatives for these, unfortunately!

  • tnx! great review ur so cute :3

i have a question, does the High beam look so obvious during the day time? im also asian, and have more yellow tone. but want a good and long lasting highlighter, but im afraid that High beam will look so over the top for me during day time..but i think ill just put tiny bit of it during day, dont have the budget to buy them both. lols Thanks in advance! :D

  • @0917524 Just use less and blend it out to your heart's content :)

  • are you wearing circle lenses?

  • @strawberrydream813 Yes, Angel EX Brown lenses!

  • hi, may i know what product you use to acheive that skin tone of yours? do you use a bronzer? i think ur skin tone is great! and you are very pretty too :)

    thank you! :D

  • hi, may i know what product you use to acheive that skin tone of yours? do you use a bronzer? i think ur skin tone is great! and you are very pretty too ^^

    thank you! :D

  • @skinfuz I can't remember what products I used here.. I believe this was my Stila tutorial, which you can look for in my video list but I don't use bronzer regularly!

  • I was wondering which one to buy, then I saw your review so I bought both... AND some concealer and a lip liner. Oopsie!

  • thanks, great review!

  • ok i am getting it thanks

  • I actually just bought the moonbeam last night at sephora and could NOT figure out which one I wanted. I ended up going with moon beam because it looked warmer. I looked it up on youtube because i had absolutely no idea how and where to use it because i'm not used to a liquid highlighter. Do you have any recommendations on any good powder highlighters? I have a light/medium complexion. Thanks!

  • @evelcrazycanevel Dior's Amber Diamond is my top pick :)

  • which one do you think would go better with a darker complexion? thanks xxx

  • @ilovetorunandsurf High Beam!

  • lol ummm noooo. HighBeam is for lighter tones. The silver will look horrible on darker tones. Moonbeam is warmer with a more natural cold for darker tones.

  • @maulstrong I've applied HighBeam on plenty of tan and darker-skinned women. It looks gorgeous as long as you only use a pin-head sized amount.

  • This probably a silly question, but, what is a cupids bow? Great review btw!!!

  • @mebeluvined The middle area of your upper lip :)

  • haha wow i'm laughing b/c as you started talking about the settings each would look best, i was like "what about an office setting? what about school under the fluorescent lights???" and then you answered it just as i was thinking it. thaaaaank you lol

oh and whats your take on mixing the moonbeam with my daily lotion (i don't wear foundation)

  • @southrnchic479 If you used just a tiny amount of the Moonbeam, it would give your skin a nice glow! It'd be like using a sparkly moisturizer :)

  • @RAEview sweet! thanks...i just ordered one of each on ebay for 25 and free shipping. yay! i can't wait to try this :D thanks again!!

  • can you use your fingers? instead of a foundation brush?

  • @xMiNTiixFRESHHx Yes, fingertips will work as well but the effect if more pronounced with a brush.

  • Thank you so much for doing this. I was wondering what was there differences. i'm gonna go buy both lol

  • love your videos

  • thanks for the review, i've been trying to decide which one to get as its soo expensive.. but then i realised i could get it much cheaper off ebay. so im gunna get both now =]

  • you are so pretty..and I love how your skin glows..

  • great review!! :)

  • REALLY USEFULL For me. Many Thanks.

By the way, what is the brand of your foundation brush? really love it.

  • @diannearini It is a cheap double-ended synthetic foundation brush from CVS pharmacy called Essence of Beauty. I don't use it for foundation but it's great for liquid highlighters =)

  • @RAEview : yeee, I found already the brush. Thanx so much.... ^_^

  • @diannearini You're welcome!!

  • @RAEview i seen it on michelle phan

    :D

  • this was a very good, thorough review. thanks so much. i was trying to decide which to get, but after watching this i will just need to get both lol!!

  • @balletgurl325 LOL I'm glad I was of help! ;)

  • aw ur my new fav guru o.o so pretty and sweet

  • @mimosha09 You're too sweet! Thank you very much ^^

  • Rae, I've been looking/shopping for a highlighter and just overwhelmed with the choices. I remembered your review and took another look. Thanks for narrowing it down for me......getting Moon Beam this weekend!

And just wondering if you have any thoughts.....I bought a blush from Fresh Cosmetics and does it ever look different on my face in comparison to the back of my hand! Do you have any suggestions with how I can use it? Don't want it to go to waste....thanks for any thoughts!

  • @kkz201 I've actually never even seen Fresh blushers! And I can't really tell you exactly what to do with it because I don't know what the color of the blusher is but you could always try using it as an eyeshadow or mix it with another blush to achieve a wearable color! Just experiment by layering products =) Maybe it'll look with Moonbeam over it! Just take an afternoon to play with your make-up. That always inspires me! ^^

  • Great review. It is so very clear and covers all required information. Great work.

    :)

  • hi have you ever tried MAC's color base in Shell? what do you think of it?

  • @minatubber I actually don't like MAC's Cream Color Bases too much because they don't dry down well. I own Pearl but I don't reach for it often ^^

  • That's what I call a PROPER review, well done!! And u r soooooooo sweet as well! x

  • @sguble You're too kind! Thank you very much =)

  • great review, I have been trying to figure out which one I wanted first....this REALLY was helpfull!!!

  • @digitalbathwater You're welcome!

  • You're so pretty! I know this is random but i love the tone of your skin :)

  • @parmjothiyaaa Aww, thank you! That's very sweet =)

  • its $24 at ulta

  • so any skin tone can use moon beam ? im a really pale with yellow/pink toned asian, and ive heard that pale skin doesnt look good with moonbeam, wat do you think?

    great review btw (:

  • @jkim0432 If you are very, very fair - around NC15 and NC 10 - I would suggest you stick to High Beam =)

  • aw your so pretty and this review is really informative :) .....which one would you recommend for tanned skin, like which one will show up more/look better ?

  • @skyflyer91 It actually depends! I would recommend Moon Beam, just because the iridescence would show up more on tanned skin but you might prefer High Beam more obvious look, which would be less of a pink and more silver highlight on your skin. It's up to you =)

  • hey thanks..i really needed to know this x

  • @mizzqurat You're welcome!

  • thanks for the review!

now i know what to choose :)

  • @agathabrown Yay! I'm glad it helped you. Thanks for watching =)

  • Thank You! Very thorough review!

  • @terryparris You're welcome!

  • ur review is really awesome , now i have my choice

  • @DeNNyBillsProp I'm glad to have been of help!

  • Hi I love your videos! I'm nc35 and need something to give me that dewy look. Do you think I can pull off highbeam day & night? What else would you recommend in terms of blush, bronzer or even face makeup in order to pulloff that sunny dewy glow look? Thanks so much! You and hollyannaeree are my goto YouTube ladies :D

  • @fallenouttalove The more tan you are, the more High Beam and Moon Beam will show! If you use High Beam very lightly and only on the tops of your cheekbones, you will be able to get away with it for day. For an all-over sunny, dewy look, you want to use an illuminating blush like Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Bricks or Laura Mercier Mosaics with a foundation like NARS Sheer Glow!

  • omg.. i love ur skin! it's so flawless <3

  • @layneLFie Thank you ^^

  • Thank you. Keep up the good work !!

  • @chihyusmith WIll do! Thanks for watching =)

  • you're so kind enough to do both for the review. i know which one to use for day time and which for nighttime. keep it going okie :) and are u korean?

PS: sorry abt previous comments too much error. Thus a new one here :)
