  • Beautiful bass! Top water fishing is definitely my favorite. It's a pleasure watching bass being caught, without twenty minutes of commercials in between.

  • @rokstar807 Thanks, I hate how fishing shows and, to be honest, most YouTube videos have become all about product promotion. That's what gave me the motivation to create my YouTube Channel. I hope I can make videos that can have tons of information with as little product promotion as possible. Thanks again

  • @flukemstr I used to fish quite a bit with my dad, before he passed away a few years ago.We primarily fished surface lures, the old Smithwick Woodchug being our favorite bait. After watching your vid here,it definitely brought back some great memories. Keep 'em comin'!

  • @rokstar807 That's cool man. Thanks for sharing that.

  • I love frog fishing. My favorite way to fish. My best bass was caught on a spro. 6lbs. Just like the last fish you caught it had a wake when it swam over to hit. So awesome. Awesome video bro

  • @Bchaps860 Thanks man.

  • hey man what state are you fishing in?

  • @HighVelocity007 North Carolina

  • how do you make the frog move like that it looked really good just small jerks?

  • @V0LtAgEpRoDuCtIoNs Just click on the link in the video. It will take you to the video about how to walk a frog like that.

  • what color is the best

  • @tannermcarson To be honest with you it's the color that the bass want. If it's a cloudy day I'll start with one with a dark belly but will change according to what the fish do. If they swing and miss a few times I'll change to one with a yellow belly. If there are no clouds I'll start with a white belly and change if I need to.

  • 30 or 50 lb braid?

  • @theperson241 50lb will do

  • This video went viral on Laos

  • ok thanks!

  • ok how do rig a "spro frog"? because i bought one at cabelas and so it didnt say how. like weight wise?

  • @SuperAthlete4242 Just tie it on and fish it. You don't add any weight or anything.

  • awesome vid. i have a question, my spro bronze eye fills up with water after a while... is it supposed to be like this? or can i go ahead and close up the hole where the hooks exit?

it is kinda nice to bring it over a huge weed bed and then let it slowly drop into a pocket though

  • What rod and reel do you recomend for frog fishing?

  • @1watsondog The Rod that I use and recommend is totally different than what others will tell you to use. I use a 6' 8" Heavy because I'm more accurate with it and it delays my hookset just a little more. I use a Revo S reel. It's got great drag and I don't need a high speed for fishing a frog. Most people will recommend a 7' 3" or longer rod so you can get longer casts but I feel that an accurate cast is more important than a long one.

  • @flukemstr yeh ive been testing out a 7'8 st croix mojo series and the cast is amazing but the accuracy is poor but i love it when fighting bass

  • Thanks

  • What color do you recomend for the 65? I live in Arkansas and white is terrible here!

  • @1watsondog I don't care about the color on the top of the frog. I only worry about the belly color. That's the only color that the bass see. I have dark colors, (Black and Brown) and I have light colors ( Yellow) I never throw white. I have a white one with a black belly and it's considered a dark color for me.

  • Is this lake in N.Carolina or Georgia

  • that guy looks like Ryan Lamb

  • This is my Favorite Fishing Video.....

  • @blackbass4u2c Cool, thanks

  • @blackbass4u2c Yep, that's me

  • nice place fishing

  • lol this view is number ....... 19 i think lol i cant get enough of topwater!!!!!!!!!

  • nice bass brother white power

  • @snookbeast wow really a racist joke on a fishing video???

  • Very nice fishing spot!!!!

  • where is this?

  • I would love to fish there!!!

  • I watch this video clip like its the movie goodfellas, too many times

  • @diggy561 I know man it's pretty addicting

  • @flukemstr Hey are u flukemaster from bass resource?

  • what color spro frog are you using?

  • were was this?

  • hi I really want to know how can you cast far with my spro frog i got 6'6 megacast road and 17lb excel line thanks a lot

  • @fencerkyo Use braided line. It will allow you to back off on your cast control knob and breaks and you can get long, smooth cast. And as always practice your casting.

  • @fencerkyo what kind of mega cast? round or teardrop?

  • nice fish!!! i use topwater primariy and love it. here in nj not many waters we can use it. those that can dont produce bucket mouths like that.although i just pulled my personel best 5lb using a scumfrog poper

  • i was fishing with the bronzeye over labor day and i couldnt seem to land them. found a few bass holed up in a weed bed, just about every time i cast over it i got a strike but none of them got the hook. i even added a stinger and they still werent getting hooked. anyone have any advice?

  • @Tcm0240 the trick is to use a medium to heavy 6'6 or 7 ft rod, and a braid (i like to use a light 6-10lb). This combo makes for a very responsive feel. Once you got the hit drop your rod tip take up the slack and set the hook.

  • @Sidcynic1 i had it on a 7' medium and 12# nano-fil i think the problem was i was too quick on the hook set and i was pulling it away before they could get a hold of it. It's getting a bit too cold here to be bassin' so ill give it a whirl next year, thanks

  • Awesome Fishing!

  • jus joind the 5 pound club wit my rainforest black.jus bought the killer gill cant wait to try it. gotta love topwater froggin especilly up here in wisconsin jus watch out for dem northerns 40inchers love frogs

  • damn those bass are freakin fat ! its like a new breed of bass..the beerbelly bass...lol

  • THE ONE U CAUGHT AT 3:50 I WAS LIKE...3....2....1... AND THEN BOOM U HAD A BASS WOW LOL

  • wut rods were yall usin

  • @7bassing A Dobyns 685C. It's a great rod for walking a frog

  • I I got stationed at Ft Bragg about a year ago and i have gone bass fishing here countless times...teach me! what am i doing wrong!

  • that bass devowered that bait when he hit it holy crap where is this at?

  • where did you learn to work the frog like that? is there a video i can watch to learn?

  • @duyzbeatz There's a video on my channel that explains how to do it. I'll also put a link to it in this video.

  • Well ive watched all ur vids and they all are great. Very informative the texas rig and dropshot rig videos. Got alot out of the carolina rig which ive never used b4 anf because of you imma go out saturday and try it. I would love to see a crankbait and swimbait vid like this. Think i would get alot out of it, for me you have good technique and knowledge and in the swimbait/ crankbait area im lacking just that.

  • Nice catch and Release Bro....NICE bass!...

  • These are the only kind I will ever use. Caught lots, and still using the same ol' frogs! Great vid guys cheers!

  • Yo its beautiful where ur fishin. Where is it..?

  • @jhendrix7911 Thanks man, It's in North Carolina. The head waters of the Little Pee Dee River.

  • @flukemstr If you ever come up north try the creeks of the Potomac. I catch 5 and 6 pounders every year

  • @flukemstr Oh and snakeheads too! haha

  • dream day! as good as it gets

  • But, at the same time, I've always got a spool of 50lb power pro in case I get into some heavy grass.

  • Great video and nice honey hole! I use mono almost always on my frog rod bc most of my fishing is done in predominantly open water like you guys are fishing and also I use a veritas rod which is a little stiffer than most xf rated rods.

  • Nice boat!

  • Good on ya for releasing

  • Wow saw that strike nice catch and great video..

  • Excellent. Glad you had such wonderful success on the Spro frog! One of the best, if not the best, frog video I've seen in ages. Thanks.

  • where do i buy these?

  • @KaitlynMBrennan There are alot of places on line that sell them. I get mine from Bass Tackle Depot.

  • @KaitlynMBrennan I usually get mine at Bass Pro but there are plenty of places that sell them. About $8.99 apiece but will last a while if the body doesn't get ripped.

  • @KaitlynMBrennan Joes , or other fishing places :)

  • I seem to get a lot of hit off the SPRO Bronze Eye in the NAsty Shad and Green Pumpkin colors!

  • @willmp17 Green Pumpkin is one of my favorite colors.

  • This is a good video. Fluorocarbon is a bad idea I think because it sinks and you can't get the right action. I usually use 50lb Power pro and have a with a 7:1 reel and a 7ft MH fast tip rod just for frog fishing.

  • @willmp17 I'm an oddball when it comes to rod length. I prefer a short, strong rod. The one I use is a Dobyns 685C. It's a 6ft 8in Heavy rod.

  • @willmp17 50 pound is too thick. use 10 pound and you can catch ant sized bass

  • @willmp17 50 pound is too thick. use 10 pound and you can catch any sized bass

  • i know right

  • @bassmaster2399 I stated 50lb Power Pro which is Braided line! 50lb Fluorocarbon or Mono-filament yes your right its to thick but I was referring to braided line!

  • @willmp17 oh okay sorry man, nice vid.

  • Them r some HUGE fish!!!! Good Work!!!

  • @teamkicknbass Thanks!!

  • @flukemstr what frog do you reccomend i buy i want a spro but i also like the live target frogs also,, whats your opinnion.

  • @kodee5496 Either one of those frogs will do. I haven't tried the Live Target frog yet but now that they are coming out with new colors that have different belly colors I'm going to have to give them a shot but a Spro Frog has never let me down.

  • what brandof line is that

  • @keithleable FINS

  • Do you have to use braided line?!!???'n

  • @IgniiteThePassiion It's the best line to use but it's not the only line. I would shy away from flourocarbon line but co-polly and mono will work ok you will have a hard time getting a solid hookset and if they get into the weeds you're most likely going to break your line.

  • what pound test braid are you using? I have heard that you have to have 50 to make it walk right

  • @baracooda58 I use 60lb FINS Braid. It's the best. Any pound test line can be used to walk the frog. A floating line like braid is just easier.

  • How much or the frogs and whats the best test line for it?

  • AMAZING CAMERA MAN: do you think u can send him down here in florida xDD

  • great vid spro frog is amazing

  • What color was the frog was he using?

  • dude this is a GREAT video...where r u? looks like some epic honey hole man! seriously got chills watchin this one...froggin is the best bite IN THE WORLD

  • @simzboy123 It's one of the best bass fishing lakes in the country. It's private and professionally managed. It's called Richmond Mill Lake, in Laurel Hill, NC.

  • were do u fish

  • i also love topwater action..cant wait for fall..but beautiful fishes man..

  • good lookin piece of water..

  • It's a hollow body frog that floats on it's own. As you can see in the video I'm not holding my rod up.

  • Does it float on its own? Or do you have to keep the rod tip up? someone get back to me. gotta get one of these soon

  • NICE FROGGIN!! SPRO BAITS ARE THE BEST!! THATS MY #1 TOPWATER BRAND! PLEASE CHECK OUT MY CATCHES ON SPRO BAITS!

  • whats a good topwater bait for early morning! i dont got the spro frogs but the live target ones i got, also lots of poppers and walk the dog baits

  • @madmatt32192 My favorite early moring topwater bait is a black, double bladed buzzbait. I like it because the morning bite is usually a short time and a buzzbait covers alot of water fast. Once I locate a concentration of fish I slow down and fish a frog or popper.

  • @crazyreptilez I always use a Palomar Knot for braid. It has never given me a problem.

  • Hi ya'll.. as for as hook set.. It's my understanding the bass hits the frog to kill it (pause) and then hits it to eat it.. hence the pause? Right or wrong??

  • @laluv2shop Most of the time that exactly right. I do a few thing to slow down my hookset like use a short rod and fish with the rod out of position to slow down my hookset.

  • @flukemstr Thank you for confirming. I didn't expect you to answer or I wouldn't have said "ya'll" as in plural. ;-)

I appreciate your quick response. ☺

  • Only bad thing is its kinda expinsive to fish there,I think its over 500 dollars

  • @merganserhunter $600 base price.

  • i cant seem to get the frog to walk like you do any tips on that?

  • @100ballpythons100 Yes, it would help if you trim the legs shorter, maybe about 1 1/2 inches. Shorter legs make a dramatic difference. Good luck!

  • @laluv2shop okay, thanks

  • Thats some dang good fishing yall got on camera! Nice job brother

  • i am thinking about using my frog now. lol

  • what do u think of a offshore buzzbait early mornin bass fishin

  • I use FINS braid. It's the best line I've found for frog fishing. Everyone who picks up my frog rod falls in love with the line in the first few casts.

  • wat kind of line do ya use?

  • @lougeelor1 I think we started filming around 5pm. It was mid July.

  • what time and day did you fish for the bass?

  • How do u make your frog walk the dog?

  • how do you make your frog walk the dog like that

  • was this in the summer?

  • also a good tip is to maybe bend the hooks away from each other just barley and also work the rubber were it smashes when a fish hits it just so its soft but yet durable, i love these frogs there just so versatile. and if you want to catch big bass go pick a couple up.

  • Great fishing guys!

  • wow. bass really eat these those things up. i need to get me sum of those!

  • I caught a bass this morning, (one of three) and it had no top lip looked like a birth defect

  • Dude... you musta dipped that frog in some JJ's MAGIC!!!

  • what color frog are you using?

  • Started fishing a pond in Iowa and just bought a St Croix Slop n Frog rod and a nice Shimano Curado with 50 lb PowerPro. Went back with some Spro's yesterday. First cast I had one on but it got away. At the end I had 5 fish on but never landed one. I think I need to work on setting the hook as I'm not used to "hammering it home". Frustrating as I went out and spent about $400 bucks to fish this dang frog. Oh well, just need to practice I guess.

Do you ever fish these at night??

  • god that must have been fun as hell catching those on topwater

  • wow great bass guys

  • Is that high power herring from SUB??

  • I use this frog quite a bit BUT CAN'T SET THE DARN HOOK! Not sure what I am doing wrong as I've never had trouble setting the hook with my other lures. I must have had 20 hits on this frog and never hooked it. You guys using trailer hooks?

  • @SouLShakeRProdX Nope, no trailer hooks. Make sure you are using a low stretch line line braid and a stiff rod. Mine is a Dobys 684c 6ft 8in Heavy action rod. Then be sure to wait till you feel the fish on the line and then make a powerful over the shoulder hookset. The timeing and angle of the hookset is very important.

  • @SouLShakeRProdX actually i know ur problem when a bass hits something on top of the water it doesnt close its mouth until its back under the surface so most people get excited and yank it out of the mouth the second it hits, next time you use it try just waiting a second or two when one hits it or even try closing your eyes.

  • @SouLShakeRProdX actually i know ur problem when a bass hits something on top of the water it doesnt close its mouth until its back under the surface so most people get excited and yank it out of the mouth the second it hits, next time you use it try just waiting a second or two when one hits it or even try closing your eyes. then yank it and set the hook

  • @SouLShakeRProdX When fishin with the frog after the hit you have to wait 2 seconds and lower your rod to give him some slack then after two seconds he has had enough time to go down and turn around with the frog so you can then set the hook

  • how do you fish these frogs? do you use a slow or fast retrieve? do you jerk it , constant retrieve, or stop and go?

  • those are small man lol

  • I dont know about the whole "perfect hook up"I have gotten several bites and waited atleast 3 seconds before even trying to set the hook and still havent gotten any fish,Any suggestions I am getting bites but not catching fish so I really cant blame it on the frog maybe its the hooks, and I am setting the hook pretty hard

  • at 4:40 that was just beautiful. just amazing

  • I want to know how you find places like this

  • how do you walk the dog?

  • what area is this?

  • how do u work that got mine 2day ?????????

  • idk if y'all notice...but on the northern bass they're green is much much darker than southern bass....and also the bass are a little bit less long, but are just toadss. I live down south so it's just something to notice, but a bass is a bass right!

  • hey man i just got some frogs but i usualy use ribbit frogs.. i cant really decide on a good way to work this frog.. should i reel slowly or twitch it?

  • @fishflipp Try different things and let the bass tell you what they want.

  • @flukemstr thats right

  • where is this?

  • @TheBassCatcher100 google "King Fisher Society" and you will see where it is.

  • @flukemstr thanks, and also, how do you walk the dog with this bait, i have one and i just cant get it to work

  • I Never Thought Those Frog Would Really Work That Well But I Got To Go Out And Buy Some And Try It Out.....

  • this video was amazing... awesome

  • Awesome video! Love the topwater strikes!

  • it seems like every time i get a hit on a spro frog the come off what do u do to get a good hookset?

  • @codyccg You want to use a stiff rod and line with very little stretch like braided line. Then when the fish bites wait 2 or 3 seconds and then set the hook very hard. You will notice on some of the hookset I accually pull the fish out of the water on the set.

  • Nice fish. Been heatin' up down here in south fla.

  • What fishing spot is that

  • that place your fishing is insane lol

  • @Flatzout I have several of the H2O frogs and they are good. The hooks aren't as good as the spro but I have enough of the Spro hooks to replace the VMC's in the H2O. The biggest difference that I've found is that the H20 are noticably harder to walk

  • Nice fish !!

  • where are yall fishing
