its really funny listening to old rave music... i enjoy it but to a certain extent. ive experienced rave music as dubstep, bass, jungle and some lovely reggae in the morning. It makes me wonder how much we enjoy the music we enjoy because of the memories it sparks and atmosphere we remembered it creating.
@yellowcatme im currently studying music management and creating a band and its my theory that context largely determines whether we like music or not. 'frinstance, i was researching a band called rockbitch whose political act i just loved and they happened to have some industrial influences - well, now i love industrial
One of the most relaxing and inspiring pieces of muzik i have ever heard... this takes me back to my kiddult-hood. Driving around with my old man in the car when i was 8 years old... he raised me on stuff like this... Its a testament to the school of thought that music is the most incredible form of art we have ever devised. Love it... peace.
One day I will play this while lying on a hill in a field and looking up at the clear sky. Its a vivid image in my head and this song has been with me since I was very young. If I do one thing before I die its that.
Remember when this album was out first tony hart used it in his last series for the backdrop music when showing kids paintings.. 1995 or there abouts.
As a teenager I knew that serious durge was on the horizon. Savage album and awesome show live
god bless old skool,,god bless sasha god bless the days,, god bless those who were lucky enough to be there, we are the music makers, we are the dreamers of dreams,we are the shakers of the world forever or now it seems,,
Melt has this tone and aura that is completly different and in documentaries, it is used as background music while there is a scene that looks depressing like this vid or something stunning like waves crashing into a chalk or granite cliff with pigeons being beautifully slaughter by Perigrine Falcons above the waves diving down at 200mph+ with a tailwind.
Dis reminds me of when I's a bit younger. Time framed warrior preparing de battlefield for another Revolutionary solution wif dem peace organizations not lookin avter me and my pples from dem swamps, my prophet isn't involved wit dis anymore. for sure.... be u,,, and enjoy free ecstasy for everybody
This sounds like jean-michel jarre on drugs - still love it after all these years. Reminds me of driving down the A3 on a hot Saturday, heading out of london for the coast
@CUNTENFUCKER The disc was called Demo 1. It came into circulation in 1996. The Mantaray and T-Rex tech demos both had original compositions over them. Sorry man you must be mistaken.
@CUNTENFUCKER - This was definitely on a PS1 game, but not sure if it was the demo cd, was it used on one of the FIFA games? I seem to remember it being used as background music on a menu screen....I could be wrong though...
Big fields, aching jaws and tired legs, sun rising, outside the big tent, smell of fresh grass, the buzz of the electric generator in the distance! I miss you man.......
wrote this song into my phone during a trip back to logan in a really nice camaro -- now, fast forward and i'm catching up, trying to download it from itunes - not there - so google - now i'm here. not sure why you won't get it to itunes - would have paid 1 dollar USD at least for the memory of the trip - does this makes sense? I hope it does...
I used to listen to this tune sat in the back of my Dad's car as a kid, I'm big on DnB but only as ive got older has it made me realise what good taste my Dad had :)
I heard this on the XM Radio station Chill. I caught it at the middle of the song and ever since all i wanted was to hear the song again. I love it, it's so...indescribable..
God its taken me ages to find this song. But the prize that you win is unbeatable. You get transported to wherever you feel the most at ease, and nothing can beat that. For me, this tune takes me far away to some deserted beach, with a blue sea and no cares.
When I´m down, i often listen this song. I dont feel much better after this, but for 5 minutes I feel myself on those places I often dreamed of. For this time I´m really free (in my mind)
Exactly the same here, this is my song, listened to it as a child alot and hearing it every now and then, not too often because if i get bored of this song then that will upset me big time, but yer love it x
Man this track has some very happy memories of London and coming back from clubbing in the mid-late 90s. I miss Leftfield. Very rarely an album captures a city at a certain time as Leftism did with London....
you haven't lived until you pick up a delicious young philly in a nightclub after spending 5 hours trying to convince her you can dance, then get her back to your place for a coffee and spend the rest of the night banging the ass off her with this knocking out of your stereo.
i can't have the right words to describe what i feel when i'm listenin' to this awesome, peaceful song.. maybe there are no words to write about this classic..
i used to put this album on at the end of house partys to hint times up people go home the nights were priceless and never ending fun nice one shark xxx
