How much do they cost? How thick are they, do a few of those fit into a big envelope? I might have to ask my sister to get me some of those and mail them to me. They are just great!
@SonoraMan1 >>> Hi there. They cost 425 Yen. They have the same size as a small box of matches. You can easily fit 6 - 8 into a size 4 envelope in Japan.
when i listen to these, my heart is desparately tugging me to go back to japan. i miss that place more than anywhere i've ever been. on the plane coming back home, i was crying half the way :[
@jlam2468 Counldn't agree more... Been there twice, and everytime I hear these sounds it reminds me of that special atmosphere I love so much. It may mean nothing to some people, but I treasure it as a secret link between me and Japan. I love that country.
@thomasgotschalk True, though in the case of Komagome station, the only difference in Sugamo-bound and Tabata-bound melodies is the instrument arrangement. I recommend you take the keychain back for a refund :)
the komagome melody is supposed to be sakura sakura - unless JR changed the melody at the station at the beginning of this year, the chip in the keychain is wrong ^^
in singapore, they just play the doors closing anoucement and it just close

The music in Komagome is WRONG. That's the reason I stopped buying these.
In Komagome there SHOULD be 'Sakura saku'.

aren't these the sounds from the metro stations in japan ?
TheOpticalFreak 2 years ago
No, theses sounds are from JR stations. (Yamanote line to be specific)
Tokyo Metro is an independent company, and is not a part of JR. (*Japan Railways)
thomasgotschalk 2 years ago
oke, thanks four explaining. ^_^
