I made a mistake. Das Macht die berliner luft, song, was in the french version,But as with the german version it was edited for the musical chair sequence . so it was used less. Lizzy just had did a seperate record of the song. I got it clear. The movie was about over any how when it ended abrutely, any how this film was a typical hteo Ligins comedy. The musical play was just used as part of it
If I only could find that DVD somewhere. About two years ago we saw "Frau Luna" on stage in Cologne (René Kollo, Ernst H. Hilbich, Wolfgang Völz and others). That was great fun.
The plot of the operetta "Frau Luna" is that a group of Berliners fly to the moon in a balloon where they meet the ruler of the moon (Frau Luna) and her court. The popular song / march "Berliner Luft" (Berlin Air) was written for this operetta.
Can't you forget the Hitlerism for onece when you hear this beautiful music by Paul Lincke, who was no nazi monster, but just a german musician who lived befor and after the nazis ?
It is funny that such pleasant music...I should say...it is ironic...that such pleasant music...was done in a movie...by the brutal monsters of the Third Reich...

The world isn't black and white. When you grow older and wiser (like me ;-) ) you will realize that it's all just different shades of grey. There are good chaps and evildoers everywhere and no people is better or worse than the others.

update. warfilms.com has a 94 minute german language version. So this indicate that I was misinformed earlier.

Bad news The only version of Frau Luna is the french dubbed version.Reicjhs kino got an extant pritn from germany it's not restored may never be..
