@hacker219105 well... whats your definition of a "normal box"? a sealed box? a ported box? bandpass? transmission line? horn? like whats your "normal box"? then i can answer the question correctly.
@hacker219105 ok then the difference is massive. those are called sealed box's. the one i got here is a ported. In some scenerios, sealed box's sound like ass and not bass. others it sounds like nice bass. The ported box, it will always be alot louder than sealed box ever would be with the same power and same subs and right tuning. You can tune the box to make thee higher bass loud as hell or low bass loud as hell. You get some low end freq's with ported box. but they are slightly bigger.

Next time you cut the hole out, you should go down a quarter-inch with the router. But using a radius-guage while you cut it. Then put a different router bit on with a bering-wheel and cut the rest on the other side. That way you will have a perfect-circle. Just wanted to give you some advice.
@prokiller75 you seem like a troll with a little 4 inch subwoofer. if u have a real subwoofer thats actually tuned low to hit all bass notes then u would think this song sounds GREAT! u actually need a good subwoofer to play low notes in songs like this.

@1500Tb iv got 2 18 incg rockford punches and 2 15 inch kicker l7's...song does sound good just the song goes in and out on my 12's in the door and my 6.5's
@INCOND1TE the guy who designed this box did it wrong. it soudned like shti with 10"s only sounded good with 8"s. i built it off his design. i design my own box's now. and they soudn GREAT!
@frostedlambs well if u make the hole to big for the screws your more likely to split the top mdf and get more leaks. but smaller hole and bigger screw. well i did that in this video. turned out good. =)

well i need it for a rockford p3 15,ive heard it at 34 hz and its amazing,so ive been trying to make a box thats tuned to that but im haveing a bit of trouble lol,but the box i like is the one you have a video of building with the 2 power acustics in it,its big but its not so big that it wont fit in my blazer,from what i hear the bigger the box the better,and you seemed to have a pretty simple design.

@smokeiiit its tuned to 30 Hz. around 30.6 Hz to be exact. it hits all the lows. i have some vids of it on my channel if you wanna see. it playing loud and hard. and another of it playing low and hard. flexing the hell out of my bed with 16 HZ song. it beats like you wouldn't believe
@smokeiiit anythingloud designed this box for me. he made a mistake so it came out wrong. it was suppose to be tuned to 28 for a single 10 but it was designed wrong so it was tuned to 32, still decent but it couldn't have a 10. the enclosure was to small.i had to buy a 8 inch kicker for it. but i have better stuff now. i have a build of my dual 15" box if you wanna see on my channel
@carl313313 ( 2/2 messages) then i say, YES. building your own enclosure is well worrth it. i bought a box for a 12 prefab an made one for a 8 ported and everything. the 8 blew the 12. ported custom, enclosures are best. louder. better. and go lower
@XsubwoofermaniacX its tuned to about 28, i was gonna use it as a HT sub but whenever i felt like it i was gonna hook it up to my system. Its intended for HT thats why its tuned low. =)
@AnythingLoud its ok, i was gonna use it for a HT sub anyways and those are tuned pretty low. You never know it might not be the box it might be the sub and the amp. the sub is really old. and i just need a better sounding amp
tuning that old sub that isn't made for tuning probly below 35 hz, will bottom it out and sound like it flapping around when you put to much watts to it
@goatskindreams OK, i see what you mean, do you know of any subs that would sound really nice in this box, for about 50 or less. The pioneer sounds good on the low low notes and good at the high bass but kinda like what you said near the tuned frequencie
