hey nice vid......i noticed it doesn't appear to have anyway to adjust the pivot,i was thinking about buying one but i dont like not being able to tighten or adjust if needed as this knife will be put to use... please let me know if it is actually adjust able...im hoping it is because id love to pick this up for work
@MsLukejames I do not believe this has a pivot screw but since it doesn't have one, that also means it shouldn't come loose. Thanks for the comment and for watching.
I love mine as well, and agree with all the points you made. Mine just sorta floats around the house as I use it, then put it down. Just a great knife that you can easily depend upon for most tasks.
And yes, the A/O is just about the best A/O out there. Based off of the design of the Mini Rukus I reviewed, it's just an awesome performer.
Great review MJF. Im not a fan of small sub 3in. knives but I do have the barrage and it's truly an amazing little blade. Thx again for the review and I can't wait for more of your vids.
Great review Jimbo! If only money grows on trees. . . I would definitely pick one of these up if I had some greenbacks! I like to the blade shape, it almost reminds me of the blade shape of the half-ton. Btw, I asked benchmade a few days ago for a pocket clip off of another model (like the one on the mini barrage) for my 940. They happily agreed to send me one for free, which was extremely cool! hopefully it looks as good as I hope it will. Thanks for sharing!
@willwood487 I couldn't agree more about the serrations. I think they got it right with this one. Just a lil won't hurt : ) Still plenty of belly on the blade to cut with.
@MrJimbofox yes sir.I just got a Kershaw blur and a Forran. Both are awesome thanks again to Cajun and johnwaynecolt45 I just hope they have not created a monster.I was looking at spydercos lat night online.I think I have found a new addiction. lol
@startswithC Thank you very much, Celeste. I'm glad you enjoyed it and yes, it's a truly awesome knife. Keelen is the man for hookin me up with this.
thanks for the explanation. The cheapest price I've found , so far, for the Mini Barrage is $103 at Knives Plus and $63 for the Mini griptilain. Where can you get the Mini Barrage for $80?
Why the huge price difference between the mini Barrage and Mini griptilain Tanto. Same steel, blade length, hardness, thickness etc. Just a slight blade shape variance. The mini Griptilian is 1/2 the price of the mini Barrage. I'm still trying to learn the ins and outs of knives.
@oldwithgold My guess would be the assisted axis lock system. It truly is a unique and amazing assisted opening mechanism. I agree that the mini barrage should be about 10 bucks cheaper than it is. The mini grip you can get for about 60 bucks, the mini barrage for about 80 if you really look. A 70 dollar price tag I think would be better, but if you are gonna spend 70 bucks you can spend 80 bucks.
Thanks for the mention Jimbo. I am glad that you like the knife. The mini barrage is a tank and I hope it will serve you well for a long time. I watched this video in HD and the picture looks great! Thanks for the video and great review!
Good review. I'm trying to decide between the full size Barrage and the mini Barrage.
