  • ....I sure miss this show!!!

  • couldn't get this song out of my head! i love it!

  • remember when harry dean stanton and that old guy got all gay with each other in the straight story like we don't know they were both gay for each other fuckin' old fags. you know the the guy driving his lawnmower down the highway movie to meet his old gay boyfriend = the straight story which was so fukin' gay.

  • they should do a season of Biglove where Ronda becomes a prophetess and has a bunch of followers. you know like how the 7th day adventists started. going to there church is awesome they are closed than you just do whatever you want, unless david coresh is there and they make a big deal and it's really enoying.

  • this the only american anthem I accept. but only if it is sung by daveigh 'my hero' chase thank you for saving all of our lives over and over again. If youd don like Daveigh than go suck Satan's dick bitch.

  • @bryand117 what the hell?

  • i would be awesome if I could buy all the songs off Utube onto Itunes.

  • This moment never fails to make me smile. Especially Margene and Barb lying in bed together. Polygamy has always fascinated me :)

  • I think I have rewatched this clip at least 100 times it hasnt gotten old yet

  • just got this episode in ireland a big hit over here this song makes me like Rhonda she is a cow but i love the song love big love.. is bills life on the up plase tell not too much

  • The Mormon Hierarchy should be under a compulsion to see and hear this song.Over and over until they renounce the Mormon Polygamy Revelation, its strange ritualism and its violent oaths.

  • @IExposeMormonism Please make sure you say Mormon Fundamentalists which consist of 25,000 to 60,000 people instead of the LDS Mormon faction which consists of 14 million members worldwide (more LDS members than there are Jews actually). The vast majority does not believe in polygamy so please make sure to clarify.

  • @truth489 You may not like my clarification:: Unlike the BofM with over 4000 changes, the D&C/BofC with its Heavy redactions, insertions, removals and such. One, D&C is unredacted and viral, waiting: D&C 132, the polygamy revelation. It nullifies all non Mormon marriages and contracts, defines innocent blood and much more. The reason LDS aren't practicing polygamy is because of a "Suspension" which was violated Hundreds of times into c 1920. It will return. Did you know it's legal in Israel?

  • This was their best season.

  • Who's voice is that? It's incredible

  • She's the Ring girl!

    Seven days.

  • Ugh, I can't even explain how many times I yelled at the T.V. whenever Rhonda was on the screen. She just frustrated me so badly. -_-'

  • Can somebody give me a briefing of what happened in this episode. Is that young girl still with Roman? I take it Roman is ill and dying...and why was Bill alone and two of his wives sleeping in the same bed?

  • @studentRN08 This episode is like 4 years old. That young girl and Roman have been written off the show for years. Roman is dead.

Bill had been fighting with his wives in this episode, obviously.

  • @studentRN08 Rhonda ran away from the compound. Here she is the center of attention on a talk show. Her foster mother (playing the piano) persuaded her to make the appearance to talk about polygamy. Roman is recovering from being shot by lackeys of Hollis Greene - who believed it was Roman who poached Weber Gaming when it was in fact Bill. Bill is sleeping alone because Barb does not approve of Weber Gaming, and Bill tried to pass Margene off as his 'secretary' at a gambling convention.

  • Daveigh Chase did such a great job with Rhonda. Creepy and detached but so childlike. LOVE this show.

  • The creepiest girl in the world.

  • Samara went mormon.

  • Loooooooooooooooooooooove BIG LOVE!

SUCH a well-done show. The casting is perfect.

  • Regardless of Rhonda's character, the show definitely didn't "romanticize" Roman, or send out the message that pedophilia is okay. Roman was portrayed as a villain on the show and, to me, his relationship with Rhonda was a big part of that.

  • one of the best shows ever.

  • Cooleye you're right, you do have to see it. I would really detest her throughout the hour I was watching. Then when it was over, I would feel quilty because she's just a child. Who has ever loved her? Instead of biting the hand off of who is feeding her; she rips the head off instead.

  • I haven't seen this particular episode, but from what I understand this girl, who is under 16(!!), is married to the old man who's dying.

This clip is disturbing in the fact that they're normalizing - and even romanticizing - an illegal, pedophiliac relationship between an old, filthy man and a young girl.

I guess people still don't care when women are treated like property.

  • @Maiitreya but you've never even seen the show! and you know nothing about this conniving bitch of a character! Rhonda is a main antagonist! She fled the compound to basically be a star and manipulated and lied her way to become infamous. Sure she is a victim, but you really have to see the show to understand the core of her character.

  • @cooleye1 everything you say is true, and she was a snake, but she was a really sad girl who probably never experienced love at all of any kind, except maybe maybe when Bill and Barb, etc took her in, then she dramatically turned on them too!

She was NOT married to 'old Roman' as she called him, they were supposed to marry but she fled 1st.

This was one of the most haunting moments in the series - thanx so much for the post

  • @batgurrl Yeah, her exit in S3 was so sad! I really miss Rhonda, and I'm gonna miss the show when it ends!!

  • @cooleye1 u never know! maybe she will resurface in the last season.

had no puter/cable access when season 4 came out, and when I tried the 1st 3 shows on HBO on demand when I could, and gave up. now I am caught up, I felt it lost it's heart, and found Alby the weasel (no offense to weasels- lol) and Nikki to be the most sympatheric at the end.. Bill became very unlikeable to me. I look forward to the last season too!

  • @batgurrl I feel like the show ruined the character of Bill in the 4th season. He was very unlikeable then, and I don't know how they're going to redeem him. They made him out to be a pig, bigot, and jerk. In the first three season I liked him because he did love his family and he did try, but now he's a vindictive jerk. Let's hope he has some redemption and that the final season is better than the 4th!

  • @cooleye1

sorry for the horribly late reply.

well put - I agree holehartedly! he became so unlikeable.

you saw that lil Rhonda came back - claiming to be changed, but not so much hehe.

good match with her hubby though - what a hillbilly piece of crap.

did you notice the disdain on face of her baby's loaded diaper?

still called him 'old Roman again' lol - .

this final season is weak so far imho - xmas episode only 1 I truly liked.

  • Does anyone know what song this is?

  • awesome... not how the ending was originally scripted either.

  • @xtrsmith what was the originally scripted version

  • if you just watched this clip without having seen the rest of the series, you would think Rhonda was Romans granddaughter, and this would be a quite sweet thing,, however if youve seen the series and knows the story behind it, this is just kind of creepy,,

  • This character amazes me. How do they take a girl in such a sad situation and turn you sooooo against her!

  • This was the best ending of any of the Big Love shows. Haunting, sad, beautiful, and creepy all at the same time.

  • 1:15-1:23 gets me everytime. her voice just opens up so big.

  • I <3 Daveigh Chase..but that was like..um creepy

  • Why did they write her off the show? She was the best. They should have written Anna off the show instead. What were they thinking?

  • @morrey3 i agree with you 100% on both accounts. i really hope she resurfaces in season 5 because we need a good villian and sissy spacek just doesn't cut it.

  • Creepy...............

  • i missed many eps. what ever happen to her

  • she sings it too sad

  • @manitobasuntanner It's not too sad. That's the whole point. She's singing a song about being happy when she's really a miserable twit.

  • this gave me chills

  • rhonda needs to come back and stir up trouble for the hendricksons. maybe she'll come back and try to ruin bill's political career.

  • @mamabruce06 haha ya I think he did that already in the season finale

  • she has an amazing voice! was this from season 1?

  • @maseyyyk I think it's season 3

  • @maseyyyk It's from the season 2.

  • @maseyyyk no season 2. I remember my mother listening to this song, but she makes it her own. Good for her

  • @maseyyyk it was season two, about 2 eps before the finally

  • this scene absolutely breaks my heart

  • Its so sad she ended up dissapearing lost and abandoned riding in some creepy truckers truck

  • The way she songs this song invokes emotions in me I thought I never had.

  • The way she songs this song invokes emotions in me I thought I never had.

  • oh my ..

    daveigh chase and amber tamblyn..

    you two rock my world

  • the reality of what happens to this so called church ( sex cult in reality) is far worse that what it depicted in the show

  • Id trade all three of my wives for one date with daveigh chase.

  • I <3 it

  • What season was this in?

  • god i lov ethis show

  • I LOVE HER VOICE if its really her this is one of my favorite scenes

  • It just struck me as I watched this, this song is an idealisation of MONOGAMY. A woman couldn't have a totally unreserved relationship w/ a man in a polygamous relationship. It is celebration of the closed circle of the relationship between a man & a woman. An ironicl meaning, was it intentional? Perhaps expressive of how a person like Rhonda might never be able to know such a relationship? Thus its poignance?

  • Wow. Good observation. I didn't think of that.

  • the whole idea of polygamy is that men make better husbands and fathers and women better sisters mothers and wives. It really is big love. However in practise mormons are a bunch of big sissy alien worshippiing pagans. Golden plates might as well be a golden calf.

  • I think "irony" would apply here but...she sings this song beautifully...

For those of us who thought of polygamous relationships in such a narrow closed-off negative way, I will concede that 3 intelligent, non-robotic or indoctrinated females (except Nikki) make me at least open my mind to why or how anyone would choose such a lifestyle.

  • It is always abuse emotionally. Always. just because HBO makes it entertaining - it is always abuse.

  • "Amani Mohamed "... my dog has a biutifull name , wat´´s you´´rs....

Oh lord, im jerquingn .. off!!

  • Are we ever going to figure out if Heather actually had a crush on Sarah? I still can't figure it out. Because on the one hand, I feel like Heather went along with Rhonda's lie because Rhonda knew the truth, but on the other hand it could have been possible that Heather knew Rhonda was full of it, but was afraid if Rhonda told everyone she was in love with Sarah, they'd believe her, because at that point everyone believed everything Rhonda said, espeically Heather's parents.

  • That is a terrific question. I have thought that. I am under the assumption that Heather was/is in love with Sarah but the show probably won't ever "explore" that whole thing.

  • i LOVE IT.THANKS....WHAT A PERFORMANCE..WHAT A DIRECTOR!

    WHAT A GREAT SHOW!

  • so shes mormon?

is that the religion she is

with the pum and the breaded hair

  • i love the way she does this song, it's beautiful.

  • It's more moving because her character is so numb and damaged.

  • This is one song most Mormons wont be able to sing because there's 20 or 30 wives and the song just wont work. OK, 2 or 3, who the hell can sing a song like this when a bunch of other chicks are flitting around. No happiest girls in Polygamy Mormon Utah.

  • big loveand true blood are the reason why i watch hbo

  • @areyoukiddingme89

    dont forget entourage

  • @areyoukiddingme89 :D couldn't agree more

  • beautiful

  • love her voice and love all the song covers shes done on the show she should totally put out an album

  • The fundamentalists did not branch off like you think they did. When Joseph Smith died fundamentalists branched off however polygamy did not die in the latter day saint religion until the United States would not grant Utah statehood unless they dropped it ( because it was illegal). Get your history right.

  • too bad we cant get that on a cd.... can you?

  • The new season of Big LOVE STARTS IN JANUARY.

  • What is this girl's real name? If someone already posted it, I am sorry, didn't see it.

  • Daveigh Chase

  • great voice....greater drama in this scene.

  • this little girl has a great voice by the way and i am glad big love is on its a great show to show what real mormons are all about.

  • You well always be the church of ladder day saints to me. You cant call your self the church of jesus christ because your prophet b hinkly said it may be true that we are not christians for we do not know but there ancient book for we go by the prophet to this day. That right there sold you out lds church of no cross church of depression and church of being deceived.

  • lds link up had on there boards that they one lady her opinion felt that it was not right to have a program about mormons because it lead to talk about her and that just cant happen with a mormon believer lol. The true mormons before you who followed joseph smith and blood decendants not the new lds who are the church of jesus christ of ladder day saints and i wont captalize your name because you are not true mormons you never well be in my book.

  • hahah the mormons tried really hard to protest to get this taken down it as you can see it is still up and doing better then ever. Thanks to big love i am working thank you big love as for you mormons tried to take it down you well never be able to claim full mormonism because truthfully your church of jesus christ of ladder day saints not the actual mormons who were before you.

  • It's Latter Day Saints. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. We're not polygamist, and fundamentalists branched off from us. They are not part of our religon

  • no your branched off from them dont tell me about your belief i already know pretty well.

  • A majority of the saints went west. I don't see what your problem is, if you hate us so much, then you obviously don't know 'pretty well.'

  • Mormons can be nice. But all of 'them' are refreshingly naive too.

I love you Mormons, I just don't respect your opinions! Really!

  • Best rendition of the song - ever. I'm really looking forward to the new season of BL.

  • I wish they would worried up with season 4. This episode was one the best I thought

  • cool cause im morman too!

  • LILO!

  • is there an mp3 of this version!? LOVE IT!

  • that such a nice song.

that looks like a good program i will need to look it up

  • Polygamy is one of the fruits of Mormonism. The Mountain Meadows Massacre is another. Can you imagine singing this when you have other "sister" wives "waiting their turn". How about "unchained melody". Mormon polygamy is unlike anything you have read: it nullifies all non mormon marriages and contracts. It defines innocent blood. It threatens his wife with death. ( I have posted it) This Mormon fruit is more like meat and it isa directly responsible for the MMMassacre. buyer beware.

  • why not get a hobby your behaviour is a little excessive, you can almost on the point of madness.

if people live like that let them, if all the flowers in a garden were the same, then there would be no joy their in

  • thuggie needs huggie. but not from me. I have posted the contributory factors in the Mountain Meadows Massacre:: The Polygamy Revelation::: It nullified all non mormon marriages and contracts, defines innocent blood and threatens murder to his wife. BloodAtonement: Says Jesus is not a enough, Mormon God needs more. and The Endowment Ceremony and its oaths of blood violence. Then we have Jesus is a polygamist. SO is his dad. And so is Mary. Sorry, I see no joy in such FLESHY MEAT FILLED gardens.

  • i love this song! i wonder if they actually r lds ppl playing as lds ppl!!!

    ?

  • The cast is generally not Mormon. I believe the only Mormon actor is Mirelle Enos.

  • This song gets stuck in my head so easily. :P

  • This show would go from good to amazing if Rhonda would marry Bill. Could you imagine the story lines. She would be a perfect angel around Bill, then blackmail the other wives behind his back. Nikki would be driven absolutely crazy. Rhonda could easily black mail the other wives into voting her into the marriage. That would make the ultimate season 4.

  • She did a great job on "Donna Fargo's signature hit".

This song is frozen in time for anybody that was around in the 70's.

Can any girl be happy forever, or is happiness just an illusion ?

I'm a 53 year old Black Man, and I love song still today.

  • I love this song!!! She did a wonderful job singing it!!!

  • what season/episode is this from?

  • Season 2, "The Happiest Girl", Show #22

  • great show! great voice!

  • "What's a fuck ass?"

  • show off

  • :O

Wow, she's a great singer. I just can't believe that's the voice of Lilo AND the creepy girl from the Ring.

  • woah! i didnt know she was lilo.

i agree . this is pretty much the best cover ever

  • i've listened to it so many times and i still freeze each time.

  • CANCEL THAT. i've made my own MP3 of it. (i didn't want a cover of it or the original Donna Fargo one). So now i'm the happiest boy in the whole USA :-)

  • Isn't she incredible? Does anyone have a good copy of her doing this song in an

    MP3 form on their PC?

  • i agree,,, great episode... i was captivated by her voice and this beautiful song.

  • mormons are gettting mad at this show. which is weird cuz i though they were humble and stuff. lolololololl rofl

  • What does being "humble and stuff" have anything to do with being unhappy that things which are sacred to Mormons are being paraded on TV for ratings? Perhaps you should look up the definition of humble. It does NOT mean being a door mat and taking injustice laying down.

  • hihi :D mormons made me laugh xD

  • ya,that was great, the last 3 ought to be great, the car crash last week was quite an original death, great stuff!!

  • i love this song and i love this show! i think rhonda is such a great character, isn't she one of those that we love to hate!

  • Im a big fan of BIG LOVE! when I heard this song I was floored! Who knew this strong song, could come from such a little girl? I love it! She has made this song mine and Hubbys song! Thanks for the post!

  • i thought it was artistic when i saw this episode how it showed all the people who were not happy.

  • I love the way the two other girls are looking at her (knowing what a jerk she really is). That was one of the best Big Love endings.

  • where can i get this song mp3?

  • I love Daveigh :D

    she's awesome!!! <3 <3 <3

  • Having Roman wake up and see her singing this on TV was a perfect way to end the season.

  • I was amazed the first time I watched this on tv. With all respect to Donna Fargo, Chase absolutely took ownership of this song with her version. Her voice is perfection with this one.

  • I TOTALLY agree :D

  • I think this was a fantastic part of the show - the lead up did not prepare me for "Rhonda's" voice and her version of this song. Just outstanding entertainment. (My negative comment was directed at evilminagrey).

  • this song is amazing this girls voice give me chills, this show is also amazing. watched the entire second season yesterday with my girlfriend. she talked bad about it until she watched one episode.

  • That's kind of how it is about Big Love, huh? I find that most of my conversations about it with people are almost viral. Soemone told me she watched it, and I said "I can't believe you watch that!" And then I watched it, told my friends about it, and they're all telling me that they can't believe I watch it. So I hope to spread the Big Love around and get them to watch it next! XD

  • this was the perfect song/performance to end the season as i have never seen more unhappy peeps or girls b4. the look on her face says 'misery'

  • she has an amazing voice.

this made me cry just for the fact she sings it so beautifully.

  • i love this.

  • Rhonda isn't twelve and Roman isn't in his nineties, and they were never married.

  • Best version of this song ever. I loved it the minute I heard this version and I'd never cared for it before!

  • does anyone know what or where i can find the piano score for this version? x

  • Your best bet might be to find an original recording for this song, by an artist who has covered it, and hope that an 'instrumental' version appears on the CD. Another option is to check out books used by organists in churches - the piano score for this might appear in one of them. Google it or check for it on ebay.

  • learn to spell (and punctuate) before you comment -idiot.

  • i cant stop listening to this .. i luv this song n shes sings it perfect !! i wish i could find luv like that again .. my best friend n boyfriend of 5 years , henry , past away i miss him so much .. this song bring me 2 tears n makes me smile .. i love u henry ..

  • Brilliant!

I love Daveigh's voice. I almost can't get through this song without tears coming to my eyes! The video is surreal. Rhonda (Daveigh)is singing the song with absolutely no visible feelings, but every verse matches the feelings of the person on the video as she's singing it, right from the beginning with Roman (wake up sleepy head)to Barb(thank you Lord for making him for me & thank you Lord for letting life turn out the way I always thought it should be!). Wow! Great direction!

  • I SO agree with you Jackson..right on!!! Hugs, Jenni

  • great song :X ... the best part of the whole movie :)very touching

  • She's the ring girl?! :| WOW

  • sweet

  • Probably my favorite moment of the show so far. This might have been the only time I've liked Rhonda.

  • I'm with you northernato... i watch it ever time I sign on to youtube. Wonder how it would go over, same arrangement and all, on american idol with the right girl singing it. Actually, I like Chase's voice better than all of them... by far.
