  • I've been moving pianos for 20 yrs in Los Angeles and there is no reason to remove the lid, unless yer going up or down a tight tricky stairway with turns. The only reason I'd take the lid off in that case would be to lighten the piano up a little and to have more places to hold the piano when your dealing with the turns in stairways. Especially if you go up a flight big end first! Those guys are FURNIE MOVERS not Piano Movers

  • good job guys

  • American Knights Moving moved me from Florida to Dallas I had a small apartment and a baby grand piano and was afraid that no one would want to move me "I was turned down from other companies because of the PIANO!" They did graet job and saved me from having to do it my self!

  • American Moving co. is the best. Nice guys and so careful with my piano to NY.. Thanks again Pete and Henry.

  • Well done, Very professional.

  • those guys are retarded...

  • Know california that my piano is for my white child keep that in mind Elena Birmin.

  • Im sorry that I had to see the comment about when you are moving a piano long distance it is beter to take the lid off.. I have moved thousands of pianos from NY to LA and every state north and south of there!! If you are moving the piano a long distance you will be doing it in a Semi. You will have several other pianos along for the ride! If you were to take the lid off of each piano you risk, scratching or droping the lid!

  • Mr. Galaxymobilestorage , Please view again - the shrink is over the padded piano - just another step done to make sure the pads wont move or fall off during transit. It took maybe a minute to do it - so why not?

  • Wow I'm not sure about the rest of the states but in Canada we blanket wrap the piano. Y would you shrink wrap it? All that does is protect it from dust. That was pretty amateurish. No offense. Any one that does this daily knows you guys are amateurs. Why make a video professing your skills when your lacking?

  • @GalaxyMobileStorage you're genuinely lacking in spelling and grammar. Please seperate your sentences with a comma, and learn how to spell the word "why".

By the way, it's "you're lacking" not "your lacking" - one is a contraction, the other is possessive. SHEESH!

  • Mr. exit-out, thanks, from the first picture to the last (strapped to the truck) it took around 40 minutes. we had to wheel the piano out the back of the house and go down a couple of steps.

  • looks pro to me! how long did it take to move that piano?

  • Mr. wheelchock41, you are right - you do not have to take the lid off if you are moving locally , but when moving long distance, in my experience, it is best to take another five minutes and remove the lid and hinges.

  • low inn house movers

  • They did it the right way, you haters! Iv been moving along time and thats exactly how we do things.

  • Lol, my crew would have been in and out in 15 min. It look like it took them two hours to break that thing down. House movers ftl.

  • that is not how you move a grand you d bags

  • Yep, house movers. You do not have to take the lid off. Been moving pianos most of my life including Van Cliburns. Call a specialist in before you have house movers touch your $15k+ piano to at least package it up for you.
