@soccerbug94 hi um its def a trio probably a minuet and given the time period its probably w,a mozart haydn john field bach or beethoven. thats not very helpful lol but because its a dance during the 1800s and its public it must be a minuet
(an addendum to my previous comment; search for Henry Purcell - Abdelazer Suite: II. Rondeau on YouTube and listen to the Orchestra of the Age of Enlightenment, conducted by Roger Norrington.)
Benjamin Britten did NOT compose this; it's part of Purcell's Abdelazer Suite.
"One of Britten's best known works is The Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra (1946). Its subtitle is Variations and Fugue on a Theme of Purcell; the theme is a melody from Henry Purcell's Abdelazar." (Wikipedia) Britten used the theme; he didn't create it.
@Meissiejj141993 The original song is The young person's guide to the orchestra but the adaptation for the movie that appears in the score it's called A Postcard to Henry Purcell
They dance while shooting daggers out of their eyes. The looks they give each other... It's so amusing! :) I love this part!
