I only saw this movie a week ago and it was as heartbreaking as brilliant! I dont know how many movies i saw about the second WW ,and each time it always is as awfull and harsh to see what a human being can do to another human being ,we can't just get used to it .So congratulations for making such a powerful video hun
[part2] we heard this story 2 times and it always gives me shivers... because i can't understand how people can do such a thing to other people... i just can't understand...and i fully agree with @PrincessOfCooking... + we read this poem,too...
so before it forget to say: you video is really really great, i love the music :) ...
[part 1] a really sad video... I am from germany and we watched the movie schindlers list in class... it was just... i can't describe it but the whole class turned silent, everyone just watched and even after the film ended we stayed silent and nobody said a word for 2 minutes... we have this topic nearly every year in school and every year an old lady comes to our school and tells us her story because she was one of the girls who were taken to a KZ but she managed to survive...
I'm from Germany so not being aware is no option. We have the whole WWII/Holocaust/Judaism a million times in school (every year in another subject).
In my opinion it should be reduced and therefore emphasized. It’s not because I don't want to hear about it, but for the sake of conveying the true horror - you just can’t help of getting tired of the topic after all this revisions and that’s definitely not how it should be.
@PrincessOfCooking [Part 2] It is so very important that these horrible crimes against humanity will never ever be forgotten.
I had a school excursion to the KZ Buchenwald which was “only” (and that is by far horrible enough) a work camp. There are two things I will never ever forget: the air flickering with heat above the gravel where the barracks were once, and the indescribable smell in the crematory. It just made my hair stood on end.
@PrincessOfCooking [Part 3] There is also this one poem, Todesfuge (Death Fugue), by Paul Celan which also gives me the chills – just the first few lines (in German it actually sounds creepier): “Black milk of daybreak we drink it at sundown / we drink it at noon in the morning we drink it at night / we drink it and drink it”
I was watching this in school and started to cry and i couldn't stop! Not because it's a sad movie but because it's all true. Oh God those poor people! I can't help wondering what it must have been like for them, surely hell on earth. Anyway beautiful video, i had tears in my eyes while watching it:"(
I want to see this movie, it looks interesting, and heart-wrenching. Beautiful video and captures! :') you bring beauty in such tragic moments in history such as the Holocaust w/ this video. Great job Razzle. Keep up the good work! <3<3<3 I give you three hearts instead of stars.
I've seen this movie many times and this video reminded me what a horrible time this was, how horrible people can be. The movie, and your video, are so well made! Would you mind if I featured this on my channel? I want people to see it.
I can't express how sorry I feel for these people, how much I wish it didn't happen. Especially because I'm German. I'm a whole different generation so of cause I had nothing to do with it, but it's our responsibility to prevent things like this in the future.
We watched this movie in my history class. I almost cried...
Especially at the end when he leaves and they give him the ring. It was so emotional. I've been the the holocaust museum in DC it's just...how could people do this?
we watched that movie in middle school.. i remember that some people were making fun of it or not taking it serious and i just wanted to slap them in the face..
i'm from austria, so my country was part of that..and i really feel ashamed for it..:(
I have always wanted to watch this movie... I am really interested in this topic, that's the part of history that I prefer actually. This video was sooo amazing, I love everything about it! The song, the editing, the quotes <3
I've was just watching this yesterday in class, so heartbreaking, found myself in tears while watching :( This topic has always been close to my heart, and this vid brought out all of them emotions again. Amazing vid <3
But I love this, and the editing you created with the song and everything. So I hope you have good luck in the contest, and thanks for making this video. <3
This was awesme hun, you did an amazing job. I saw this movie many years ago, and it's one of the best I've ever seen. I agree, and I kinda like this theme as well. Don't get me wrong, I just love all the nazi stuff and everything that goes with Germany and history, but I have the same opinion as you. This never will forgetting. Either way, there're so many things that were probably even worse than this, and the worst, things that are happening in so many countries ACTUALLY.
I don't want to press like because I hate the holocaust. but the video almost made me cry. We learned about the holocaust a lot in school. We watched Shindler's list and The Paino Man. I cried in both. I didn't think I could ever really feel my heart be wrenched, but watching these movies and knowing it actually could have happened just freaked me out.
Minor correction, the Jews were killed for religion, not race. But I get the point. Beautiful video, as always
@spidermanandsnape Yeah, I understand. Actually, Hitler claimed that he killed the Jews because "the Jews killed Jesus" but really Hitler was trying to build an Aryan race which would consist of people with blue eyes, blond hair and white skin. Jews had brown eyes and brown hair, and so they did not fit into this. So Hitler did hate the Jews because he did believe they were the reason Jesus was crucified, but race was also very heavily part of why they were killed.
@RazzleDazzale Originally, Hitler wanted to find a part of the population that was a small percent to blame for problems. Later the issue evolved into the racial thing. Hitler may have picked the Jews for that reason, but he needed someone to blame to rise in power
I found this topic so hard to study last year. It's so heartbreaking... I could barely watch this Alice, I found it too painful. I haven't seen the film, but my Dad always says I need to see it. And now I know why..This was so amazing.<3
@KangaRooInc It was very difficult to study this subject, and even while editing this, I had to stop because it just made me want to cry. The little girl in the red coat always haunts me, because she represents such innocence in the cruel environment. Thank you <333
@AndThePincers Thank you <3 I sort of forgot I was entering this video for the competition, I really just want to raise awareness to this and hope people know what happened.
Oh my wow ): .. I remember watching all those holocaust movies. They all left me stunned. I can remember my grandfather talking about the war, being a man of barely 18. How he had to run. to survive. Every life is worth saving, as you stated in your video. No matter what you've done in your life, or what you haven't. what education you follow. what believe you have. We are all equal, never doubt yourself. Treat others as you want them to treat you.
oh god. i've watched this film at school & ii spent pretty much the whole film crying. it's so sad. at the end when Schindler say goodbye to Mr Stern & all the other workers.. this moment is so intense. and ii also love the jobb on the colours. the candles, the red coat (poor little girl <3), the Jews march before&nowadays. this movie is a masterpiece.
@TheSmileXD Same, I just had tears streaming down my face. The movie was incredibly powerful, and it is a movie that remains always so close to my heart. It's so raw, everything about it was directed to the point it was almost like I was back in time. Thank you <3
