320,000 hotmail accounts hacked. Mine was also hacked on 7/30/10. They changed my password, my secret question and then deleted my alternate email address which is the only way to get your password reset.
Then the scammers send emails to everyone in your contact list which says that you are overseas and need $2,000 dollars sent to you immediately.
The Windows Live Solution Team says they are working on it after they failed to recognize for months that the account passwords were hacked.
Fore some reasone when i try to add facebook, windows live says : "We can't get your information for this web activity. Make sure the information you entered is correct, and try again."....what to do??
I tried the camera on a couple of Linux boxes (Fedora 10 and Ubuntu Jaunty), and it worked fine on all of them straight away NO extra drivers needed. With Vista the camera is blind.
BTW the camera itself is only 3 years old, and yet there is NO Vista drivers.
I'll add another Linux and Windows hardware experience I've had recently.
Got a Huawei E220 HSDPA 3G USB cellular modem dongle. On Windows it takes about 2 minutes to get recognised when plugged in, and another minute to get a connection. Plus the built-in driver is extremely buggy and prone to crashing.
With Ubuntu the same modem is recognised straight away, and connection to the cellular network takes about 10 seconds.
So much for the myth about Windows having better hardware support.
Yeh, the Ubuntu Remix is running GNOME. and yes it is just a different shell optimised for the netbook's smaller screen. Plus it has easy options to turn off unnecessary services like CUPS or Bluetooth.
I did try regular Ubuntu with the default GNOME desktop on the netbook, but found I was getting less screen real-estate for applications like Firefox, due to GNOME's panels, even when GNOME was reduced to just one panel.
Bought a Acer One netbook last year, came with XP, performance was sluggish to say the least. Firefox was very lethargic.
Wiped out XP, installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix. Netbook performs like a dream, has much better battery life now, Firefox and Open Office both run great.
Yes there is a choice. It's amazing how many people put up with mediocrity
Almost 100% of all Linux Users change the design of linux! Because the default one looks like crap! And this is why they change it! Windows looks not awesome but much better than the default Linux Interface. Windows has a big range of apps Windows is more compatible Windows looks nicer When you will say that i never used linux and don´t know what I´m talking about. You are wrong. Windows Rules 4 Ever! Some Senteces might be not correcty written! Sorry about that! I am German!
Got a webcam here, does not work with Vista as there are no drivers. Works with XP only after downloading a driver from some obscure Chinese web site. Same camera plugged into my Ubuntu PC worked straight away... go figure.
BTW I only use Windows for one thing now, my Media Centre PC. Everything else it's Linux 100%.
"Perhaps the Webcam was made by Linux Freaks and gave Windows no compatible Access!" .. I don't think so, because on the camera's box there is a label saying 'Designed for Windows' it's just that I lost the driver CD, and had to go to the makers web site to find a driver. Driver is XP only NO Vista.
I can only think of one device which does not work with Linux, the Zune. Can you name another device?
As for programs, well we've got more than enough programs here to choose from.
Actually Ubuntu is not easy to use according to the public. Many netbook providers are having to retally their sales in each OS because 1 in 5 of the people who buy them with linux return them because of the OS. Currently Microsoft Sells Windows XP for $15 on netbooks in order to compete with Ubuntu so Ubuntu is making Microsoft charge us less which is a very positive effect.
Sorry, I don't know when that will happen. However I know with Windows 7 you can link a user account to a live ID so it automatically logs in when on that user. There's additional options there where you can customize it so you can store all of your passwords in one location and can function to something similar to OpenID but personally I've never really experienced with that.

Seems like you´re a racist!
The only thing that matters is compatibility that Linux has definitely NOT!

Yeah, Ubuntu is very nice, but Windows has valid resons for exisiting, too: (I base this from Win 7 Beta)
-Largest library of device drivers
- Neat user interface- Win7 is very intuitive and straightforward
-Most productivity and line-of-business apps
-Seamless mobile sync. with WinMo, Android, BlackBerry, Symbian, Palm, iPhone
-Easy IT administration
-Win7 has integrated 3G access.
However, I love Ubuntu's principles and GNU-Licensed software.
I wish M$ saw the light in open source, though.

I can't either.
The only options available under 'Web Activities' are Custom Blog, Photobucket, Daum, StumbleUpon, Flixster, TripIt, iLike, Yelp and Pandora.

The option will be added sometime this week.
