quick question bro does my xbox360slim have to have the internal hardrive that you can buy to transfer memory onto my xbox 360 slim from my fat hardrive or can i still transfer memory to it with the build in memory that comes with it( i have the slim xbox with 4gigs)

@WAFFENMAFIA Xbox support has got inaccurate instructions. You need to put in the transfer cable (without the HDD attached) in to your new console. Turn it on and then attach the HDD to the transfer cable and the pop-up will appear. Do not attach the HDD to the transfer cable and then plug it in to the console like it says on xbox support as it doesnt work. Plug in the HDD to the transfer cable while the console is on. Do not do it while its off

So, apparently data from the source Hard Drive is erased as you said. Would it be possible to use memory cards/USBs to backup the data on the old HD (20GB - So the relevant data) so once I have transferred the data to my shiny new Xbox Slim - Will it be possible to replace the data onto the old Hard Drive.
