@muskymod There are 4 parts to the deficit. Rolling back the tax cuts will take care of two of those parts. We also need to cut defense spending and paying retail for drugs in the Medicare drug plan. It was nothing but a gift to corporations and a way to attack Medicare.

The wealthy have used tax cuts to buy government. Once that is done, the rest is stealing the wealth and jobs of the working class. Once workers get their portion of increased productivity, they will create demand and pay taxes

Better way to fight Walmart won't be to simply "not shop at Walmart" but to support every struggles that Walmart workers are making. They have been struggling against their employers for better benefits and gender discrimination. Give full supports and solidarity for these workers and support unionizing Walmart.  This is better way for 99% to unite and fight the 1%.

I am a full supporter of Occupy movement and I actually participate for Occupy Chicago where I live. I am in full agreement with their criticism of Walmart. However to say that people should shop elsewhere doesn't carry much of persuasion. Because one, people shop at Walmart due to its cheap price. We have to understand that consumers are also exploited workers. And two, simply boycotting Walmart will actually hurt Walmart workers who are already exploited and mistreated by their employers.

That gives Walmart money, more business means they hire more people, and more of the unemployed are employed. Yes, Walmart does in some ways harm, but it a lot of ways, by pure existence they help our economy recover.
