an assassin siren (with the talents that allow health regen and cooldown to phase walk) with a 4x double anarchy and a gun of each elemental type (one for each type of the worms) can easily solo Crawmerax. I do it all the time... but have yet to find any pearlescent weapons from Craw, which is pretty sad lol.

Anytime I tried to go down there Cramerax and/ or his little maggotmuggfuggers knocked me off to my death in seconds. I always do best vs him by letting him launch me waaay up in the air such that I land on thatcrude arch not too far from there. When I'm up there, they don't know what to do and either walk around aimlessly or stare at me. I'm gonna beat him by myself with a lvl49 Berserker while he's on 64 }:]

My friend and I had to get to level 69 to beat him, no glitches, just a lot of dying and patience. I think it's awesome that the put such a hardcore boss her. Although the Vault keeper should have been more similar to crawmeraw in terms of difficulty I think.

@sku24905 all weapons are random. the tsunami is a pearlescent weapon, the hardest weapons to get. crawmerax has the higest chance to drop one but any chest in the secret armory of general knoxx can have pearls. you just have to be lucky.

Gearbox accually did patch this in the latest update. i tried going to the spot but he saw me and killed me with his ranged attack. i know a better spot though. when u get to the top of the elevator, go to the crevace on the right.

It's not necessarily a glitch, you see. Creatures in this game react to if they know your there but cant really see you all the time. It's sort of like in Fallout 3, enemys know your there but can't see you.(crouch mode) on top of your screen ( Fallout 3) you will probably see DANGER but not blinking that's EXACTLY what Crawmerax was doing. So it can't be patched.

Sorry but at the beginning youre wrong you dont need 2 players or 3 guns you only need 1 player 1 Jakobs and 1 shot :D cause if it took more than one shot you werent using a Jakobs!!

Let me share a tip. I've not tried it yet but I think this actually can be done with PC single-player to kill Crawmerax quick. Just create Borderlands 'shortcut 2', use a LAN game and press Alt-Tab between two characters.

I think it might be worth mentioning that the eye critical dot is slightly above left of the actual purple blob for some reason... if you take out a 90 acc smg and lay into the skin just above it you hit criticals no problem.

Not true, it strips shields, and is super effective against crawmerax. So it's only awesome against eridians and crawmerax, otherwise you're right.

@G33KMachinima actually no element has any better effect than another against him. you're best bet is your highest dmg/ highest velocity weapon such as a sniper or a revolver. smgs are a waste of time and ammo unless you have an ammo regen class mod and have some patience. i tend to just use a skullmasher or the pearlescent Bessie sniper to take him apart. easy 2 min kills.

i refer it as the better weapon (maybe even the best) for taking off crawmerax's parts

the orion is usable only when attempting to ricochet bullets towards his back spot

also if ur'e unable playing with 2 players lan / splitscreen (mostly single pc) you can always try for the leviathan way, a vid describing howto can be seen in my videos.

Great video, but the glitch doesn't work for me. I'm Roland and I only have 1 controller :/. When I go up I place my turret first so crawmerax aims for it, then I run for the spot, crouch and stand up. Thats the moment when he suddenly turns around and totally rapes me. <- This happens every time. What am I doing wrong?

Or you could use one character of any class and go to the far left corner drop down the ledge and crouch and kill him in about 4 mins, it's how i did it, didn't get hit once and is much easier than this.
