No doubt that BMW and German cars alike are assembled to the highest quality. Mechanically BMWs are solid although their electrics are questionable. These cars will never squeak and rattle but solid performance and build quality come at a high price.

During WWll BMW produced 26 flying saucers at under ground old mine facilities in Bremen and Cologne. 8 bigger bomber flying saucers and 18 fighter saucers being made and they were transported to another top secret location outside Germany even before D-day. All these files still highly classified today maybe the real x-files.

@yelzhan123 BULL. I own a 98 e36 and it has been my most durable, long lasting (180k + and still going), least expensive on maintenance car I have ever owned. I just wish they did the diesels in america with stick shift.

yeah E34 and E36 are the last relatively durable cars, but still elecrtic items as fuel pump, and it is so stupid to have mech radiator cooling fan not electric, bmw just started to use electric fans for radiators, see lack of tech,all bmw have steering rack problem, low quality trust arms and its bushings, abs failure, wheel senser failure, electric mech-s of front windows, CHEAP plastics everywhere!!!, u dont feel how a/c fan blows air inside(very awful performance), seats are not comfortable

In Germany the people who have to polish the cars and clean the windows at the end are known as the spastics of the assembly line. They are paid less and will not enjoy such a good pension. They are described in German as the "Duffgarla'

hobbangr: I don't know about that! BMW still makes fine quality cars. Currently I'm not too pleased with their bike choices, models, styling and prices. The only new model bike I would even consider would have to be a GS.
