What I'm trying to say from the last comment. All books, movies, tv shows are different. Everybody get inspired by others. Stop comparing so much and say that the one thing is better than the other. It's just what you think. Everybody can't like the same. That's why we have all this different books and tv material to read/watch. Who care if a author "stole" from someone else.. Everyone does it. And we get different kinds of stuff anyway, anyhow.

But, read Anita Blake, it deserves population too.

Because of Twilight other vampire/werewolf books got recognised. And because of Vampire Diaries witch books have been more recognised. Because Twilight is a "hate or love thing" all the others turns out to be a "hate or love thing". It's sad actually. So without Twilight, book or not, many wouldn't know about Vampire Diaries, Secret Circle, Anita Blake, True Blood, House of Night, Teen Wolf, Vampire Academy, Bloodlines, Being Human and so on.

the only reason I have issues with the hair is because Diana was blond just like the goddess she was named for. I was looking forward to a blond blue eyed Diana.

They are casting for The Secret Circle pilot episode now (CW) Britt Richardson has been cast, rumored for Cassie. It doesn't sound as though they are going to keep it like the books though, think they are going to change it up like they did with TVD but I'm sure it will still be good.

Ironic that LJ Smith has been fired from writing The Vampire Diaries and The Secret Circle and they're the 2 shows they're making.

Can't believe they've ditched LJ Smith though, shes amazing!

@alejandre027 It'll be a tv series run by Kevin Williamsom. It will be good, like The Vampire Diaries, even though The Vampire Diaries has nothing to do with the books, it's still a great series and is somehow still faithfull to the book.

Enough comments about Cassie's hair color! Her character isn't defined by her hair. I chose Brittany Snow because regardless of whether she's blonde or brunette, I thought she showed the innocence and shyness that the character *is* initially defined by.

I would rather an actress be able to portray the nuances of a character's personality than exactly match a physical description.

This series has been a fave of mine for awhile =) I loved them so much! WAY better than twilight, and most books in that genre. It probably has to do with the fact that most of Lisa Jane's books were written in the early 90's

I have to say all of L.J.Smith's books are incredible. She just has a way with words. If you have read Dark Visions,The Secret Circle, and the Vampire Diaries you should read The Night World series it puts all of those awesome stories into one. o corse its not the same stories but along the same lines. They are REALLY the best book she's ever wrote.
