  • Wonderful video!. Congratulations. I have an Epiphyllum oxypetalum which will bloom soon. I never saw it before, so excited waiting that moment

  • beautiful bloom :) It looks really pretty!

  • Great, clicked on this video because mine had its first flower of the season. Last year I had 3 flowering periods with the biggest having 5 flowers at once.

I really love this plant :-)

  • So this is the flower that only open one night for around four hours? I have been trying to find the name of this flower and hopefully grow one. But in your video it looks as if it's blooming during the day, because of the light?

  • This flower begin of blooming at begin of evening and fully bloomed near midnight. After this it will slowly closed near morning.

  • where I can buy this plant in miami?

  • I have 4 of these plants in hanging pots outside and they produced 11 blooms this summer all of which opened the same night; June 11 & I MISSED this! To my amazement these same 4 plants have produced another 8 blooms and I believe they will be opening tonight {Sunday August 9th}. Hopefully I can capture this on video or at least see them this time and get snapshots. I have taken MANY pics of these flowers BEFORE and AFTER, but never DURING the full bloom...wish me luck. BTW - I love your video!

  • Thanks! I hope, you will happy with capture.

  • It was a night of beauty and fragrance. All 8 flowers bloomed and they were huge and, yes, I captured them (all night long & through the morning). Once again, to my amazement, these same plants have another batch of blooms...21 this time! I cannot imagine how beautiful THAT will be...

  • Good information. Sounds simple enough...wow! LOVE IT!! This is a real treat to see, and I posted your video to my Facebook page. Thanks again and again!

  • I have just experienced my first blooms on my Epiphyllum and I just can't get enough of that fragrance. Your video clip is absolutely awesome! Good work!!! Thank you for sharing this!! How in the world did you capture the blooming process in time lapse photography?! This is definitely a favorite of mine!

  • I have used the simply Sony MiniDV camera. This camera can automatically make video capture time lapse function (one frame in 10 seconds instead of traditional 25 frames per seconds).

I need only external power supply and suitable support.
