lol @ all the old UK geezer ravers who troll these oldschool choooons....reminicing about "the good ol days"
Fuck your good ol days
welcome to the future bitches, you guys are a dying breed. Hacienda, Helter Skelter, Dreamscape dont exist anymore!! go fucking die in a corner already. Stop being bitter about the new scene, u do a disservice to raversz everytwhere by being this bitter/jagged. Yes the music will never die, but your unwillingness to move on is what will surely be the death of you
@TheTamandtone OM-FUKIN-G i just been hangin over my keyboard cracking up! i know that feelin mate, mid week blues all the way, ha haa! the thing that gets me most is how the drug side of it got monopolised and the quality took a nose dive, when jubz were a score a pop but you were completely bungled off just 1, if you knew someone who was droppin 3 or 4 in a night they became legends for havin a head like an iron girder. Now bodz be doin 7-8 cos they are mixed with all sorts of shite, even skag
@mrisor892 Yeah there full of shit now. Don't know if you remember about 96ish everyone was moaning about how shit the pills were getting, then they brought out Mitsubishi's - that first batch was top notch, not quite as good as the ones back in the day but fuck me they were like a breath of fresh air they actually saved clubland.
@TheTamandtone aah yes, i do indeed remember mitzys, and mitzy turbos, then yeah it went straight back to the downhill with skaggy shite like red ferraris and the unbelievebly shit malboros, eeeuch! my mate bunged a bag of them in a kettle when he got spun by old bill, they found em' but they turned to mush in the bag and the old bill analized them and re-arrested him for possesion of heroin. the only time i ever threw up on jubz was on those in fabric, north london, H-I-D-E-O-U-S!!!
@TheTamandtone do remember the classic ones like rhubarb and custards, flatliners, little white bastards, double dip doves, new yorkers, etc etc... oh they REALLY DONT make them like that anymore, fuxake, once on new yorkers a cartoon diamond ring on a red neon honeycomb background about 12 inches across drifted from right to left and disappeared, absolutely spangled, gurnin so my teeth came out and danced around on top of my head, dance 92, angel centre. shit event, fucking awesome pillz OI OOOI
Your absolutely bang on mate, i reckon you might be a bit older than me (I'm 34) The golden years for me were 92 - 96 then it started to go downhill, by 98 it was finished. Like you say chasing the rainbow is not looking good but i'm gonna give it one more go at the legendary Que Club in Birmingham. Best venue/sound system in the world. Then retirement!!!
@TheTamandtone yet again you are right, im actually 39 (yep, an old dusty raver) and i hope you have a top top night at the Que, and a tinge of sadness at youre up coming retirement my friend, another hardcore veteran to become a chelsea pensioner like me LOL!
@TheTamandtone i hope so, its nice to hear of youre sort of dedication, i really want to get on it again but if my gfriend saw what i look like gurnin, i reckon she'd run a mile wavin her arms in the air, ha ha ha! i would love to hear how your night went so i look forward to hearin from you soon, have a top top nite my ravin loony! OI OIIIIIII!!!!
@mrisor892 I will definitely let you know. What clubs/raves did you used to go to?? I was mainly Pandemonium @ Mr B's, Die Hard, Club Kinetic, Helter skelter and Dreamscape and countless free parties in the hills.
@TheTamandtone I used to go to a lot of field partys around kent plus a few clubs in london like busbys breakfast club and the orange at the astoria as well as sterns and i once went to an event at the roller rink, lea valley trading estate in milton keynes and world dance at lydd airport kent. theres a wicked 4 or 5 piece vid clip here on YT from orange at the astoria, check it out.
@TheTamandtone also, there used to be a proper bangin beach party at camber sands, that was truly awesome. the police used to drive real slow up and down the car park and there used to be a sort of mexican wave of headlights from peoples cars that illuminated them wherever they went as early warning, brilliant! the best night i had there was on 2 mick jaggers (acid) the sea was mirror calm with a full moon. it just doesnt get any better than that does it?
@mrisor892 The camber sand parties sound proper good. Never got on with acid, 9 times out of 10 i would lose it!!! I do love the k-hole though, perfect night for me would be a couple a g's of speed a few pills and afterwards weird conversations in the motorway services. Then ketamine for breakfast. Breakfast of champions mate.
@TheTamandtone ha ha ha haa! thats hilarious, love the bit about the weird conversations, what a giggle! got quite a likin for the k ting a while back, way way better on a comedown than valleys innit. havent done any speed in a long while, turns me into a sexual animal, g-friend couldnt handle it, LOL! to be honest i dont do As anymore... ..well hardly anyway, nowadays i smoke trees til i look chinese but i really miss all the messiness of bein off me tits!
@mrisor892 That's where i'm lucky my GF loves it all - it's how we met. We probably get on it every couple of months, we stay in and reminisce about the good old days and then pretend to be porn stars till breakfast time (K-Hole). Don't mind the valleys on a come down but next day feels like a pig shat in my head.
i remember bein on speed, out in a field picking shrooms at 6am with this choon boombin pon a tape, old skool walkman stylee innit, i couldnt help it, it was the speed, next thing im dancin round in a field on my own in tha middle of nowhere to this ere choon, lookin like a crunchy nutter but lovin it. i always always remember that when i hear this, i miss those dayz so much, 39 now but would love to put on the white gloves, beany hat and smear a mask in vicks again (only old skoolerz kno)
@TheTamandtone ha ha ha, youre not wrong!! used to get chattin to some randomer who would then offer me a blast on their water bottle, only to find the neck was smeared with it! nice! also remember people would pass biftas around to anyone next to them, thats how social it used to be, even without a smokin ban, that wouldnt happen now. there will never be another underground movement like it again. We were well lucky to be at just the right age at that time, i miss it soo much.
@mrisor892 We were very lucky, i only wish i knew how good them times were i just thought they were normal nights out that would go on forever!! I've been chasing the good old times since the 90's, i'm going to Atomic Jam at the end of the month (Fibre Optic in the DnB room) if it aint got the right atmosphere/tunes/attitude i think i'll hang my hat up for the last time (i've been saying that for years so we'll see)
@TheTamandtone youre so right, we were so very very lucky, right time, right age and the vibe could never be repeated, society has changed too much now, so chasin the rainbow is not lookin good. the problem with the scene then was its boundless energy that evolved so fast that some styles of choon only lasted for a few months, then it evolved again until it fell into the jungle, where it stayed for about 3 years. i reckon the golden years were 90-93, before the tempo shot up into bungle mode.
@64bakes not to worry my friend, there are many old skool eventz goin on around UK, so don the gloves, the beany, the paint suit and a massive smile, then get on it dog-gone it!!
Back then it was all about the music, today it's all about the money.
Just for a few years people abandoned their 70s rockstar fantasies and made music they wanted to hear instead of sell.
There's a small army of people out there just like me that would give their left nut to be able to be involved in a scene that had this much love put in to it.
Its about time someone hacked into the tv music channel companies and wiped all todays generic shit and make them pump out this on repeat. Hold up someones knocking on the door its the internet police and some lawyers from the music channel ill get 4yrs for insighting a crime on the internet !
I'm 41 but I look about 28 because I've got good music and good vibes like this flowing through me. This is a timeless, future-retro; never-ever grow old piece of music machinery. Fuck...it feels good to be alive.
@MySPANGLES mr spangles im the same,40 last week still got the head of a 20 yr old,and still look ferkin young as fuck!!!??i wonder if it's to do with what we were taking???hummmmmm eh???!
@TheSwiftCee I`ll never forget the first time i walkeed into Camden. Thought i was in an old cinema when we walked through the front door. But then we emerged on one of the balconies and suddenly it hit me. Oh fuck this is gonna be wicked. Never been ravin before this night, but never looked back. at 17 this was the most amazing experience i`d had, Went back every friday for abou 18 months. Awesome times. The only down side was the bar and bogs right up the top. Very challenging
@tomjoechaz haha, yeah bro,. same here, it was a powerful experience, i was hooked! most of 91- tru 92 every friday! ah them nights were magical. We'd chill up on the balcony's until the warm up session got into full swing, and then BAM! hit the dancefloor to stand next to the 6 ft speakers to feel the B-LINE, oh my lord!!!! Take me away, Sweet Sensation, Back by dope demand! all the classics in ya face! respect my man!
@tomjoechaz You just brought back the only bad memories of Camden, those bogs. Why was it that you always heard your favorite tune drop when you were in the toilets dealing with your come up rush and then have to negotiate your way to the dance floor as fast as you could!
u cant beet manix on reinforced label dont we all wish they could make music like this still 91/92 prodigy was at there best as was a homeboy hippie and funky dread ,carl cox,dj pc , bring that beat back dj.
@crombadabombom what about it? you wont even merit it a capital I - hahahaha just kidding really. (but seriously never heard about a huge rave in Ireland. HMMM)
i never met the pickies , i only ever met the hippies and they were not the nicest of peeps from what i could see , they was not into the love of the music at all , they were just there just for the sake of it
what a channel man, some mental nights with this tune wreckin dancelfoors, id say a lot of these old tunes would still do the business if played in a set at one of the festivals etc no probs whatsoever
lol@ according to hippies, you always got a few of them at a decent rave, friendly enough types but always smelt of stale bread and stale sweat, plus they always looked that bit more whacked out than everyone else when you were trippin out yourself!!
jeez, this was such a special time to be going clubbing... amazing people, vibes, no bad attitudes, great lighting, amazing rugs ;) etc. everything was so new... new genres seemingly popping up all over the place. hardcore was simply brilliant from 1990 to 1992. glad I was there :)
@AreULookingAtMe I totally concur. Fresh scene back then and dare I say it, a touch of innocence and naivety amongst us ravers back then (despite the prolific drug use) which made for a very happy and safe environment generally. Those days are long since departed.
Shout out to the old Tootos Crowd (Colchester) - the best times..
The big difference now though is that, bak then, folk came together to enjoy the trax & to dance... pure & simple... a common bond. Now those gatherins would be full of drunks, aggression, attitude, knives, trouble etc. Dunno if I would like it.
19 as well here my god to live in those days in the prime mustve been a real soul lifta i could just see ppl movin in unity in carefree unison without having to worry about the way they dance huuuuh we gotta bring it back man nowadays ppl frickin 2 step just listnin to the massively complicated tunes u hear now DJs SHOOOOULD just play the classics and finally make a tune that can connect that gap to the jump we missed between 1999-2002 and create another musical revolution :D
we need to start a revolution or somethin. people need educatin! This is wat music is about!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Bring back the old skool!!!!! Who's with me?

The baton has been passed! it's up to U guys to form the movement n take oldskool back to the front! a generation have lost out, dont let it pass U by! oh how U'd have loved those days of the early 90's :c))
That 'bleeping' noise in the background everytime he says "A Special Request" was featured on another hardcore tune (roughly '94) with a huge uplifting piano piece with that sound.... anyone know what it might be??
whoo fukin love it bring back the oldskool 1990s 1993 best ever fukin rave yrs will never beeen seen again EVER!!!!!! i miss em so much lived the dream =))))) E come alive!!!
Nice to hear...it's been a minute!!! I'm all bopppin' around in my room...good times:)))) I love de natural high these oldie lovelies give me...makes my soul dance!!!!!! ~~BIG LOVE~~

i never met the pickies , i only ever met the hippies and they were not the nicest of peeps from what i could see , they was not into the love of the music at all , they were just there just for the sake of it
DAVEBEEE 2 years ago
you twat you wouldnt know a hippie if it bit u
subliminalization 2 years ago 2
its true the hippies spoilt the scene for a lot of peeps and made a lot of the real hardcore ravers stray away , its a shame but what can you do?
DAVEBEEE 2 years ago
hippies? it was fickin pickies that spoiled it...hippies made the scene, it was all love peace and unity...then the pickies got wind of it

drongovids 2 years ago 2
happy days man, with a bit of luck someone will sort them out with proper ecstacy aswell to go with the music lol so they get the full effect!
ciarTDSsoITis 2 years ago
haha yeah. ecstacy virtually doesn't exist anymore... something to do with china, according to hippies
drongovids 2 years ago
lol@ according to hippies, you always got a few of them at a decent rave, friendly enough types but always smelt of stale bread and stale sweat, plus they always looked that bit more whacked out than everyone else when you were trippin out yourself!!

AAAA !!!!! SO NICEEE

jeez, this was such a special time to be going clubbing... amazing people, vibes, no bad attitudes, great lighting, amazing rugs ;) etc. everything was so new... new genres seemingly popping up all over the place. hardcore was simply brilliant from 1990 to 1992. glad I was there :)
AreULookingAtMe 2 years ago 2
Yeah, the rugs were fantastic :)

I liked the Persian ones especially
rlm9999 2 years ago
@AreULookingAtMe I totally concur. Fresh scene back then and dare I say it, a touch of innocence and naivety amongst us ravers back then (despite the prolific drug use) which made for a very happy and safe environment generally. Those days are long since departed.
Shout out to the old Tootos Crowd (Colchester) - the best times..
alskif100 1 year ago
The big difference now though is that, bak then, folk came together to enjoy the trax & to dance... pure & simple... a common bond. Now those gatherins would be full of drunks, aggression, attitude, knives, trouble etc. Dunno if I would like it.

Samples of Bizarre Inc. in this, yeah?

19 as well here my god to live in those days in the prime mustve been a real soul lifta i could just see ppl movin in unity in carefree unison without having to worry about the way they dance huuuuh we gotta bring it back man nowadays ppl frickin 2 step just listnin to the massively complicated tunes u hear now DJs SHOOOOULD just play the classics and finally make a tune that can connect that gap to the jump we missed between 1999-2002 and create another musical revolution :D

That 'bleeping' noise in the background everytime he says "A Special Request" was featured on another hardcore tune (roughly '94) with a huge uplifting piano piece with that sound.... anyone know what it might be??
BIG tune though! :-)
