I suppose they're just trying to do something different. I like both their earlier lounge sound and their new indie/alternative sound. Prehaps in the future they'll again move on to something completely different or merge their old and new sounds together.

Old Slip...New Slip...all Good Slip...IMO....I just wish they would tour agin this year....Surprise Me Mr. Davis is cool and all but can't touch the chemistry of BAM....oh well....thankfully I have 60 plus shows to remeber them by...

I like the old slip way better too. But I have to respect the fact that they are trying to move forward and evolve as a band. I respect their new sound, but I can't understand why they haven't played great songs like "Honey Melon" and Rythem and Gold" in years.

Pretty interesting....I saw The Slip about 15 times when they were a jazz/jam instrumental band...and never saw them open their mouths...well almost... but seriously they hardly ever sang....1st time was at the Newport/Kool Jazz Festival at SPAC...

Brad kinda looks like Syd Barrett more and more everyday....:)
