  • dad has 4 of these, hes mad about them,3 of the bodys are rusted but the 4 has perfect body so were going to make 1 super machine out of the whole lot.its a lot of work but worth it in the end.

  • ski masks on.g wags.......raekwon wu tang.....

  • What i like about this car is it's still the same as a new G. You can find one for pretty cheap

  • Which type is??

  • I think I just fell in love.

  • hi, great g wagon i am thinking of getting one my self and i was wondering what do you get to the gallon on diesel? are they easy to live with as i have heard that they are very slow but i am not bothered about speed i just want it to move without too much effort?

    cheers

  • sweet G just shows its all in the looking after.

  • that machine is not only credit to mercedes but to you aswell for looking after it.

if your ever thinking of selling it give me bell..lolhaha

  • these things have been around longer than the hummvee

  • i had to sell my G ... sad thing to do. i mean the person bought the car is a girl

  • You have a halfords battery are you a pykee? The car may have retired but that does not excuse using Halfords for service Now I shall go and be sick huuurrr!

  • Son in law's battery. Had to wait for spare from farming wholesaler. NATO batteries cheaper than Merk's.

  • A WONDERFUL MACHINE.

  • Fucking awesome.

  • i've always wondered-with right hand drive, is the gas on the left with the clutch on the right? if it is i'd probably blow the engine holding the gas down instead of the clutch.

  • Just round the other way. Accelerator (gas) on the right break in the centre and clutch on the left. I use to have a left hand drive once and thing are just transposed soon get used to it. Nice to chat good luck.

  • Yeah, you only mix up the windshield wipers with the direction indicator ;-)That's what happend to me visiting New Zealand, in the beginning. But you get fast used to drive on the left side.

  • that is one really great car!!! absolutely love the g wagon... in looks and in use, that's why the first (brand-new) car that i brought was a g55. i'm 23 when i bought the car and my family and friends think i should have gotten a ferrari or a porche, all i said to them was, "10 years from now, this car will still be running and in-style..." your video gave truth to what i said! thanks!

  • Got a diesel G myself & have had it sine 1984. so far, it has clocked up 670,000 miles & still works every day!

    G`S FOREVER!!

  • I've the same car of the same years old... I often do extrem off-road and... ... it's always perfect!! Something like yours but... a little bit dirty!!

  • Thanks for the comment. Gertie worked hard on the farm and allied building jobs, fields and trackways are muddy and uneven but here in East Anglia always on the flat! She tows like nothing is there, big but is 0 to 60 eventually with the 3L diesel (no turbo). The long wheelbase version would find it hard to do extreme off roading surely??
