  • 255 people named steve thought he was real

  • Ripleys NYC is having online national talent contest - you should check it out. You're good.

  • Great stuff.

  • wow lol you know the box behind the puppet? theres probably a guy behind there doing the puppets voice lol and yes @nefelpitou01 he does look like the guy from Lost

  • dummy was made by bill nelson.

  • lol Steve thinks im real..i liked that part

  • lmao looks like Randy Orton

  • His arm is the dummy's neck, right? That really adds to the effect.

  • Freaky real ventriloquist dummy WOW!

  • show me how to say the letters of B,M,P,V...ive tried so many time but its still didnt work..so maybe somebody can help me in this case? pls

  • @KuSlebet search for How to be a ventriloquist then u will know

  • KuSlebet, "B" is replaced with "D," "M" is replaced with "N,", "P" is replaced with a soft "T," and "V" is replaced with "Th." It takes some rehearsal in front of a mirror to pronounce these so that they sound like natural.

  • B is replaced with D but instead of using it on the roof of your mouth put it against the back of your front teeth but dont let it out too hard or else it WILL come out as a D do the same thing with p but use t but dont let it out too hard or else it WILL come out as a p

and for M you use N

For v you use the th but the vibrating one as in the word there.

and for f you use th but the rough way as in the word "thought".

    and for w use oo

    hope it helped!!!!!!!

  • Probably coz he is too real lol

  • HAHA

i think that's better then Jeff

he switches back between characters to fast

cept i laugh harder at his work

  • they look alike

  • the puppet looks like the puppeteer himself...

  • I can see that too. : )

  • lol reminds me of Jeff Dunham's Walter!

  • Yea, I can see how that could be. I met Jeff for the first time at a convention in 1984. My Max character was brand new then. Jeff made his first Walter character around 1987 I believe. I love his work.

  • haha yeah i'm starting to love grumpy puppets lol!!

  • @DummyTalkDOTcom What ever happened to Chuck and Bob?

  • @ISamuelII , That would be Jay Johnson. He was performing a one man show on Broadway called "The 2 and Only". He has always been my personal favorite Ventriloquist and the characters he did of Chuck and Bob on the series "Soap" were hilarious.

  • @DummyTalkDOTcom Yes I knew his name and he was my favorite too. I couldn't get enough of his act and I think it was the canceling of Soap (plus I had enough of the other crap) that made me keep the tv off for the first time for a long time to come.

    iSam

  • freak me out

  • TUPAC LIVES!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • soooo awesome :O

  • ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh freaky

  • Thats freaky dude

  • lol

  • i love ventriloquists but the sound is almost totally gone on this.

    just so you know.

    would love to hear it.

  • Yea, I think this is the only clip of several that had low volume and wouldn't you know it....it's the one with the most hits. Over 874,000 as of this post. Please check out the other clips by searching my name: Marc Rubben

Also, the DVDs that these clips came from have great volume, menues and a lot more show.

    Peace,

    Marc

  • @66flamer LOL just like in jeff dunhams "Arguing with myself" deff people go to see the ventrloquist act, kinda like putting on blind folds and waching David Copperfeild

  • Looks like the MadTV guy on the logo lol

  • Hahaha. Alfred E. Newman? You know, back in my day, he was the guy from Mad Magazine.

  • What, me worry ?

Is Mad mag still going ? I used to love it...

  • He is awesome!

  • LOL.this is funny.

  • that thing is gonna haunt me for the rest of my life!

  • O_o That puppet looks scary

  • "Steve thinks I'm real"

:D Nice. It's hard to actually really remember that they're puppets sometimes. Especially when you're really good, like yourself.

  • Oh that was good, i enjoyed it, theres an english ventriloquist called Paul Zerdin you might enjoy watching :)

  • hahaha, Hello, i enjoyed this. U wouldnt happen to be able to send me a ventriloquist dummy to australia. Ill pay for it of course. its just i dnt where to look to buy one here

  • look on ebay or do a google search of "ventriloquist figures". It's a world wide market now.

  • I have a great deal of respect for Jeff. I especially like his Dead Terrorist character.

  • the puppet scares me...

  • dude his hand is holding his head...

  • You should become a detective.

  • lol

  • lol that was good answer :D

  • I found this pretty funny, I didnt find it freaky or scarey. Cause the puppet had no hair and it was mad, the only kinds that creep me out are those smileing ones that are old fashion. 'Just take tan paint and smerl it on the face, put read paint on the lips and you got yourself a puppet!'. <Thats the old way. I love the video though, bravo.

  • Thanks! I agree with you about the old style puppets. If you want to create the illusion of life with a character, why not go as far as possible. For me, the bottom line is make it funny though.

  • at 0:15 it kinda scared me... anyways, was cool! xD

  • That's not funny, that doll freaks me out <.< Maybe you should think of getting some funny looking dolls, like Jeff Dunham, you don't want crying kids in the audience.

  • Sorry, I don't do kid shows. But check out some of my other charaters. Look at my screen name for the site to see them on. I don't think "The Swami" will make you cry. LOL

  • How can you say that n e thing is better than jeff dunham you Plank, justify that comment you sack! xRecon360x

  • there is no such thing as a Ventriloquist after jeff dunham End of story

  • That is very sad that you choose to limit yourself so much. Jay Johnson, Ronn Lucus, Dan Horn, Jim Barber, the list goes on and on of great vents.

  • omg I am so scared of these things lol

  • try some of my other clips. The volume is better.

  • the dummy scares me....

  • ventriloquist acts maek me wonder WHY someone would ever really practice this much to do this as an act? its weird to me and has been since i was a kid. it still is weird, but not scary.

you heard what he said tho and they say that there is some truth to every joke.

    thats kinda scary.

  • I saw a great ventriloquist when I was very young and learned the art then. Then I started acting in high school. Later, I tried my hand at stand-up. Ventriloqism is a combination of acting and stand-up comedy, a way to do different characters without needing to change costumes, so I picked it back up. I followed my heart and my dreams and never regreted it. I don't know why some people get so scared, but I take it as a compliment because it means the characters I create seem real to them.

  • was this on a cruise

  • Yes, on The Carnival Conquest

  • hey im shauny350 and im a ventriloquest and i do acts

  • Hey Shauny350, good luck with your act.

  • dummy looks like the ventriquilist lol

  • looks like my friends dad!

  • dummy looks like this kid i know named dave wilson haha - word

  • The volume on the DVD is fine. Internet viewing is not meant to be the final product, just a small sample. If you want perfection, order the DVDs, they are much more entertaining than these little sample clips are and the profit goes to a very good cause. Thanks for supporting the performing Arts!

  • *shudders* ooooh hell that was creepy

  • the dummy looks soo real

  • lol.he`s good..

  • he sounds like walter of jeff dunham. hes good I like this guy

  • Thanks. I met Jeff at a ventriloquist convention in 1985. At that time an early version of Max was the only character I was using in my show. Jeff did not have a Walter then and commented that he liked the way Max looks angry. I think Jeff is very talented and I have a great deal of respect for him. I am currently using 6 different characters in my shows, so please check out some of my other clips or one of my DVDs. All my best,

    Marc Rubben

  • Kinda reminds me of Elmer Fudd XD

  • i didn't get it

  • You will if you get the DVDs of the entire shows. These are just small segments of the whole show.

  • LOL !

  • Wow, his mouth like, doesnt move. You can like barely tell.

  • hw the hell dose its eyes move?!!! creepy reminds me of the chucky doll lols awesome

  • The fingers inside his head probably move them.

  • Actually, there are brass rod mechanisms inside the head that are attached to brass levers on a brass control stick. This vent figure is very high end, a work of Art created by Bill Nelson and Greg Claassen.

  • You you you......SPOILER.......

    hahaha

  • haha..it's ventriliquism..his head sits on top of a stick- wires and strings connect the two, which is how the vent moves the puppet

  • wow, your smart....

  • hahaha XD

  • heyy you are really good and hilarius

  • Cool.....

  • WOW ! I designed and created this vent figure and this is the first time i`ve seen him come to life !

    VERY EXCITING !!!
