Joe Buck is actually very enthusiastic when he broadcasts local Cardinals games. But when he has to become neutral, he tries too hard not to be a homer, which takes him out of his natural realm. I agree that Joe Buck didn't express much enthusiasm for all of the big Cardinal plays during their World Series run last year, but I know it would have been different if he were broadcasting locally.
