i remember some those effects from other demos, like the colorbars reminded me of that Cascade demo, are these tributes to other demos?

@TheSlenderFan Yes. I don't know all of them, but one part looks like the UltraForce Megademo. There's a small part looking like Kefrens' Dane. The first part seems inspired on Angels' Copper Master. The dot landscape was also done in various old demos, including some from Sanity and Future Crew.

The flag scroller also looks familiar, but I can't recall the actual demo. There are probably more references to classic demos.

@91120dark It was released at DreamHack 2002. It's for Windows/DX8.1.

So while it looks like a classic Amiga/PC DOS demo, it's a modern accelerated demo with a retro look.
