fist, helio castroneves and tony kanaan came from champcar, they were not indy lights champions. the only reason IRL became big was because it had the rights to Indianapolis.
not to mention that they were graduates of the real Indy Lights series (the one that folded in 2002, the one that was a feeder series to Champ Car), not the renamed but equally pathetic IndyPro series

This is great, that this dumb series is gone. Go IRL! Go Tony George! Marty Roth is better than whole ChampCar grid. What a waste series it was.

Errm....If it wasn't for this "dumb series", Helio Castroneves, Tony Kanaan and Scott Dixon would never have made it to the IRL.

Why not? They all were Indy Lights graduates just like Dan Wheldon, Felipe Giaffone and Sam Hornish Jr.

@Eight8a11 1997 Indy Lights champion: Tony Kanaan. One year later, both went to CART (ChampCar if you prefer).
