@macwtf I didn´t install anything you named and I did not change bootscreen... After first Win. actualization windows are f*cked up and suddenly FN button don´t work! (I ve repaired it) So you must have got new windows and do not connect to the internet.

I hate windows 7 it's a piece of junk I can't run any of my old windows XP programs, and it won't let me install windows XP! Can someone help?

@RudeAwakning Windows 7 is not a piece of junk, you just don't know how to handle it in this example.

Windows 7 does no longer have the windows xp base, so therefore won't be fully compatible with XP programs. However most programs are compatible.

Firstly, what kind of Windows 7 are you running? (exactly; starter, ultimate, and 32-bit or 64-bit in example).

Have you tried running the programs you mean as an administrator or in compatibility modes?

@tz496 I have a 64 bit home edition, I think, I know it's 64 for sure. There is no compatability mode. And I went to see if I could install it my version was excluded. I run as administrator, but I can't run office 2000, or a game I spent 3 years building! It just freezes up.

@RudeAwakning Lastly, installing a different OS is done best (AT ALL TIMES) during boot (aka: Get yourself one of those spiffy XP discs and insert it in the drive, and dont forget to hit any key on your keyboard when it prompts you to do so.

@RudeAwakning What you might weanna do is make a clean install, FIRST you install your XP and after you did that you install WIN7 on another partition or disk. That will automaticly give you a dual boot configuratiion.

But remember FIRST XP (or Vista) and than WIN7.. old OS first ;)

I did it so I could keep playing SOF 2 ;)

No offence, but tweaking BIOS programming isn't for those who don't know what exactly they're doing, and since you already mentioned a windows version along with the laptop model, you clearly don't know what it's about.

If you have a computer with recent hardware, it will; in other cases, you'll not mention it. And the new start procedure of Windows 7 decreses the boot time, so with XP or something it will take longer to boot up.
