Damage above all weights in most in how the fight is judged. i do remember there being a knock down in the fight from a thai kick to body that almost ended the fight by Vera. there was also another tha kick to the body that staggered couture which had a delayed reaction. control would only truly matter had there not been any significant action.

@tippzz Not necessarily true. Maynard - Edgar, Maynard easily did the most damage, so as you say he should've won the fight right? Of course not, Edgar controlled 2 &1/2 rounds to earn a draw. The 1st BJ-GSP fight, if you look at GSP's face, he took a lot more damage than BJ, but he came back to get the victory. Even in boxing, 1 of Ali's opponents (I think George Chuvalo) said after they fought, Ali went immediately to the hospital, while he went to dinner with his wife. Ali won that fight!

personally i think dana white hates the guys from pride, i think thats why i took the UFC this long to make a match for shogun.. that being said i think jones is an awesome fighter and will have a very long career and successful at that. But not yet. just my opinion so peace guys.
