  • you could teach her how to stay

  • @LGSofficial no, you can not. It's a stage.

  • it's so cute when she's sticking out of your hand and squawking....lol

  • My lovebird is like that. But, when my neighbor came over to clip her wings, we did the fly test, where you hold her in the air, and let her go, as you put your hand down. Instead of flying, she fell onto the ground. If you try to get her off of you, she won't. I set her on the ground, and she came running to me. She is, quite the funny little lovebird. Great video :D

    never did it again T.T

  • ah u should've named star boomerang!

  • SSSOOOOO CCUUUUTTTTEEEE!!!!!!!!!

I love how Star makes a 1-note protest just before the video stopped. LOL

I have a lovebird myself, btw. I think they're the adorable birds ever!!!

  • AHH that is too cute!

  • wow nice! here in philippines you can buy a lovebirds for a price of 4 US dollars a piece.

  • Oh, so cute. My cockatiel used to do that.

  • When my lovebird Noah was little she did that too. So sweet!

  • did u ever bring that bird out side and then it came back to u

  • No. We would never do that. That is too risky for the bird's health and safety.

  • @lokooj love bird free flight Pakistan 3 check this one. yes it is possible...

  • love bird free flight Pakistan 3

  • is star a she?

  • wow you are very rich to have all these lovebird accsesories!!!

  • so generally lovebirds come untamed? are urs so loveable because u handraise them from very young or is it a monkey see monkey do sorta deal so u only needed to tame a couple? because im yet to see a video from u guys that makes me think lovebirds arent extremely sociable and loveable = P

  • Just like children, it is the environment in which they were raised. They learn how to be social not only from us, but also the adult lovebirds; and yes, lovebirds from pet stores are generally not tame, because they do not want to put the time and energy in a bird who does not have great value when compared to other species of parrots.

    ~Rodney

  • Your birds are absolutely adorable.

  • im going to buy 2 lovebirds how would i know if they are a male and a female

  • i found some people selling each 20 dollars o_O what if i just buy 2 and handfeed their babys..

  • If you aren't willing to spend that much, you probably won't get birds that are really socialized. Unfortunately, we get emails all the time from people who spent a small amount and now have wild, untamed birds. I'm not saying there aren't any exceptions, as there certainly are, but for the most part, 95-99% are untamed and it breaks our heart every time we get an email asking how to tame their birds. There is never a guarantee they can be tamed and it is a long process.

  • dam i want 2 lovebirds a male and a female but they cost a loooot 100 dollars just for 2 -.-

  • That's actually really good considering they can live 15+ years.

    ~Rodney

  • o.o thats amazing! my buddy just bought (rescued) one bird for $100! So to get two for that price is awsome. o.o but be sure to have all the stuff, and do your resarch first before getting a pet. o.o

  • ahhh sooo cute

  • the window is close or open?

  • God bless you both! i came across your account on youtube randomly and am so touched for the love you have for your birds! i've never owned a bird before but watching your vids makes me want one! it's so good to see people who care so much for their birds as you do :)

  • Ah, thank you so much!

    ~Rodney

  • I wish i had a boomerang bird! but I don't get pets because I would need time for them and as a university student I don't. :(

  • It's ok, Tamara and I were university students also. Then we graduated, got married, and got BeBe. Patience, you will get your baby one day.

    ~Rodney

  • our bird humps webkins, shirts and toes.

  • do you know how to recognize a lovebird if he is a male or a female?

    btw nice video!!

    10x

  • You need to get a blood test from a vet. Only sure way to know.

  • that so cute! :)

  • aww..

  • Cute, you have a velcro bird!

  • thats so cute!!!!

  • Lol. That's so cute. Throwing lovebirds! Mine always find me when I try to sneak off for a sec! I also have the same perch you had on the window for Daisy and Clover's showers. Do your lovebirds get showers? I use a shower head with a fine mist setting. They really like it.

  • They do come in to the shower with me, but they prefer baths in their water bowls.

  • My budgie is the opposite! LOL Budgies and Lovebirds are the best pets

  • i had a coackateal that would get mad at us for having dinner with out us! she would run to our plates eating off of them. go from one plate to another. she would follow us around too. even on the floor she would chase us!!

  • how did you get him/her to do that?

  • Well, we didn't teach her that, it's just a baby thing she does. She stopped doing it when she got older.

  • that's awesome. our lovebirds don't want anything to do with us humans. they're too attached to themselves. :(

  • What a beautiful little boomerang baby!

  • oh gosh that really made me laugh! soo cute~

  • I am so sorry about Angel. I know how devestated you both are. I never got over the death of my parakeet Peety and he died 40 years ago.

As for Star I know you are doing the right thing. I think it's just the over protective Mom in me talking. You know, the one who cried when her kids cried on the first day of school.

    Ginger

  • You are too cute Ginger! It's ok to be over protective when it comes to your little ones (maybe not when they are 18! *wink*)!

  • Tamara,

Are you going to keep Star? I think she would be heartbroken to go to a new home without you.

    Ginger

  • No, I am not going to keep Star. All of our birds go through this stage during their weaning. I actually had Blueberry & Cherry doing the very same thing. They do get past this stage; Star was just demonstrating this stage very well.

On top of that, Rodney & I are not ready for another bird; especially one that looks like our Angel!
