Just love it when Keith talks about how important it is to be in good shape for a tour. In 1976 he was probably in the worst physical condition, caused by his heroin addiction (which started in 1969/70). Keith used to stay awake for five days in a row on this tour.

I'm a big Stones fan, but their live shows from 1975/76 are not my favorites.

do you think it actually was a multivitamin and a salt tablet? maybe i'm being sceptical but since when has Keef ever looked after his body? he's the 1st to admit he's 'punished' his body over the years. but to be honest, all these rock stars weren't on street drugs, they had what's called 'tame doctors' who prescribed them pure stuff your average junky can only dream about. it's not quite rock 'n' roll being smacked up in a public loo.

There's a great little (brief) Honky Tonk Women jam backstage at one point.

The Stones were terrible live in 76.

I saw them at Stafford Bingly Hall.

Shocking, distorted, way too loud, didn't have a clue what they were playing half the time.

@GravityBoy72 i think that the main problem...imo was mick's voice cause after all they were kinda like an imperfect rough band since day 1, im a huge fan and i wasnt there but watching some vids and bootlegs...imo one of the low points with these mid-late 70s shows was that mick sounded really awesome on studio but these live gigs sounded like if he didnt had any sense of flavour or that vocal swagger he had in like...sticky fingers,its only rock and roll and exile
