I love the bit where you see Meredy dancing, she actually looks her age there. Somewhat.

Also great idea Namco of America. If you can't use the name Eternia, make it into the sequel of a game that already sold very poorly. That works!

i played the psp release of this game and its amazing! defiantly the best rpg you can play on the psp and it sucks but its one of the games i got almost to the end but never beat :(

To be fair, Namco-USA feared that the name "Eternia" would cause them legal troubles, as it was a registered trademark of Mattel. The European PSP version of the game is called Tales of Eternia.

I've been playing the game on my PSP, and I hate how they took this song off and replaced it with an orchestrated song. They did the same thing with the Symphonia games (and probably some others too). There was nothing wrong with the original songs, so why take them out? I'm just glad there are some Tales games that haven't been treated like this.

All of the english version were made into orchestrated versions. Vesperia was the only exception b/c Bonnie Pink went ahead and made an English version of the song. They're orchestrated since no English version of the songs and possibly Namco thinks that the English speaking general public would enjoy an orchestrated version of a song instead of a song with lyrics they don't understand.

The shame is, there is andubbed version of the game, but it needs a modded PSP to play. Namco just LOVES to screw the Western fans. I mean, NIS and Atlus don't cut the japanese lyrics of the theme songs on the games that they publish in USA! But again, Namco is the most xenophobic and stupid game developing company in the entire world.

Well... they REMAKE ToS in PS2. And ToE Remake to PSP as well as ToR. ToP REMAKE to GameBoy. And so on...

those aren't remakes. those are ports. there's a difference. Tales of Destiny for the PS2 is a remake of the PS1 version. The GBA version of Phantasia is an enhanced port of the original SFC version. there is a PS1 remake of Phantasia and a PSP port of that version (which is the best version imo). the only tales games that have been remade are Tales of Phantasia (to the PS1) and Tales of Destiny (to the PS2).

It's not the Japanese who does that. It's the AMERICANS, or us Europeans the few times it's released here before in the US. But usually, from what I know, the titles stays the same here in Europe as in Japan. ALttP is a rare exception.
