  • Keep on Rockin Good Stuff Byrd Music

  • Thank you! We hope to have some new stuff up by the end of October.

    Cheers,

    iain

  • You guys have a really good and full sound. One of the best live renditions I've heard. Good job guys.

  • Thank you!!! I can say without reservation that the new group is even better - we'll be posting some new things soon.

    Cheers,

    Iain McLennon

  • awesome stuff! is there a possibility of you posting any more?

  • Hi, Jeff -

Hey, thanks for your enthusiasm! We're in the process of rehearsing a new lineup and are looking forward to taping some more things around March or April - the web site will also experience a facelift, so I hope you'll watch for us. We're smaller and better than ever!

    Cheers,

    Iain McLennon

  • You guys are fan"freakin"tastic! For me this song brings back a memory of sitting on my bedroom floor eating Cheerio's when I was little. Ha ha... I am so proud to call you my uncle! Hopefully one of these days I will be able to make it to a show. I would love nothing more than to watch you guys live. Have tried to respond to your emails and for some reason the email address I have doesn't work. Anyway, I was so excited to find this video, I added it to my favorites =)

  • You can't fool me - it was Sugar Pops! I'm proud to call you Uncle, too, and maybe one of these fine days we can not only get you to a show but maybe even have lunch. How did you come to find this video, by the way?

    Cheers,

    Iain

  • Ha ha... Nope, nope, nope... I'm pretty sure it was Cheerio's. Mom would leave them in little baggies for us by the phone. I found this video by GOOGLEing your name. I was trying to figure out a new way to contact you as past contact information I had for you seems to be invalid. It came up with quite a few options and this video happened to be one of them. Lunch... Lunch... Lunch... We just need to set a time and place. Miss you!

  • Yall are great! Must be so much fun to have that kind of talent.

  • Hi, and thanks for your praise - kind words, indeed. Unfortunately, the talent isn't what you're hearing - the talent was in getting six musicians, three camera people, a manager and a crowd all together in the same place at the same time! THAT was FUN!

    Cheers,

    Iain

  • i wanted check out your band. it amazed me how good your band is.

  • Hi, Kaley!

Thank you!!! As I explained offline, we feel strongly about the music and the message, so we try to keep the freak flag flying by introducing younger folks to it as well as bringing back a few memories for those of us who were there. Hey, maybe I can LEASE your glasses! :-)

    Cheers,

    Iain

  • Posted to Rich with compassion and sorrow, in memory of the people of PSA 182. God bless them.

  • You guys have a really great sound. The Byrds were one of my favourite folk/rock bands and I don't come across too many bands covering their material.

Do you ever perform in Southern, CA? Any plans to put out a video performing, "Eight Miles High?" Only one suggestion though, the cowboy hat should go while doing these early Byrd tribute songs. I guess it's just me but I feel for this Byrds band it's kind of distracting. More appropriate for a country band.

  • Hi, FMG -

Thank you for your kind comments. I agree with your observation on the cowboy hat - As for "Eight Miles High," the answer is yes - we'll be doing another set of videos fairly soon.

Thank you again, and we hope you'll keep an eye out for us!

    Cheers,

    Iain McLennon

  • Hi again, FMG -

I forgot to respond to your question regarding SoCal appearances! We're talking with The Coach House in San Juan Capistrano and The Catalyst in Santa Cruz about adding them to our tour schedule, so please watch our web site over the next few months where we'll announce that schedule.

    Cheers,

    Iain

  • awesome,what more can be said ?

  • Well done

  • I was once lucky enough to see the Byrds do this song in concert. This band is easily as good as the Byrds. Great harmony and faithful playing. Nice job!

  • In today's vernacular. . .ahem. . .YOU GUYS ROCK@!!!

  • Thank you! May I ask how you found us?

    All the best,

  • Good job!

  • Wow, what a nice recreation of the 1965 Byrds classic. I see one of the guys is one of the lucky 1300 or so that were able to purchase the limited edition Roger McGuinn model of the Rickenbacker 360 12-string. Now that's hard core fandom!

Please post some more of the band's work!

  • Thank you for your kind comments - The guitar is #98 of 1000 made and originally belonged to Al Jardine of The Beach Boys. Roger McGuinn played it on their version of California Dreamin.' There should be five other songs being posted immediately. There is currently one other posted on our web site at www.thebyrdbrains.com.

    All the best,

    Iain McLennon
