Acutally, Christ's return in 40 days comes from the Biblical time line of history, and is supported by 50+ Biblical signs and proofs. Unless you claim Camping wrote the Bible, he is not the originator of this date. The Biblical time testifies human history was designed before it ever began. By the Lord's mercy, He is using His Heirs to warn the world (Ezek 33:1-10). Those claiming they are 'saved', but we can't know the time, are headed for Judgment Day (I Thes 5:2-3).

Jesus Christ made sure we have the Bible so we know what's happening now and how the future is going to go. No need for a prophet to tell us what God has already told us. The gifts never ended, prophecy never ceased nor did tongues silenced, this will occur at death or the 1,000 year reign. I work in the gifts, I prophecy, I speak in tongues. The holy spirit moves thru those willing to be used. Joel prophesied in the last days prophecy will still occur. As a pentecostal believer, I believe in the gifts and the gifts are relevant today.

In order for it to be Biblical, the apostles would have to be annointed by the previous apostles going back to the original apostles.

Paul also scolded the church for seeking after tongues. He also said this is the least of the gifts, and yet because it is a seen gift, everybody seeks after a gift that Paul said not to seek after. That gift is being abused big time today.
Any Believer who speaks from the Bible who is speaking and warning about the last days. Read Revelation because it explains that who ever speaks on the last days is prophecying. It's not a special postion as in the OT times.

Yes, it costs big time. When I was a New Ager I got along with pretty well everyone, because there were no absolutes.Since becoming a Christian two years ago I see the circle getting smaller. I understand how you feel. It's beyond me at times to understand how anyone can follow or beleive such people. I too can get sarcastic and even rude at times. Then I have to pray and go apologize to that person for being rude.
I am talking to a person now who believes that The Shack is just the greatest book and how dare I even judge this man for doing so. I try to tell him that it's the man's words that I compare to God's Word that I am doing, but I don't seem to get the message across.
The main problem with the Shack is that it subtly attacks the doctrine of Sola Scriptura. The author is making theological claims in the book. He's presenting his own Christian philosophy, while at the same time putting down the Bible, and saying we should be more interested in experiencing God. But God's Word is still authoritative. If you want to hear God's voice, just open up the Bible and read it. So many people don't know any better and take the Shack for face value.
Mr. Young is a strong supporter of the Emergent Movement. He speaks at their meetings and endorses what they teach, which is, the road to God is many, and Jesus is just one of those roads. Way too many mainline Christain churches have gone Emergent now and love the book, the shack.
I do believe when Paul spoke about men not wanting sound doctrine and apostasy, that we are in the midst of this apostasy. It's everywhere. Churches lining themselves up with false teachers and watered down gospel
Yes, it's very scary. There has always been heresy in the world, but never before has it so polluted and mingled with the Body of Christ. Very scary times. These videos of charlatans are so sad and depressing. People eat this stuff up, and millions are being deceived. I want to do something to make a difference, to warn people of this apostasy before it deceives them. They see the "signs" and "miracles," and it becomes very difficult to convince them otherwise.

I sometimes watch Benny Hinn from finnish christian TV but lately the programs have been only giving money to that ministry. I love the Gospel and know Bennny Hinn had preached it too.
I was also healed through the Lakeland revival when Todd Bentley asked us to touch TV to recieve a healing.
In times of old their punishemt was death by stoning. Benny Hinn has made direct prophecies and given dates when they would happen. They never came to pass, and if anything, the Homosexual community in which he said God would destroy, is flourishing and growing rapidly.
I do not doubt of your healing. Jesus said that false prophets would come and be able to do great signs and wonders.
We are one with God and have a mind of Christ when we are born again and we are going to judge angels with Jesus and if I remember right we are like Jesus was in earth in Heaven.

it confuses me why ppl feel they MUST FOLLOW someone. read 1 Cr 3:1-4 it talks about how if there is quarreling among us about the Word then we are carnal not spiritual. and then it goes on to say about these carnal people who say "i follow Paul" or "i follow Apollos".

I have found through my years of life, that people would rather trust what a preacher says then get in and study for themselves. They feel that since he went to bible college he must know a lot. This is neive trust in a man, and it's done all the time.
I praise God that when I left the Mormon Church, God put me in the hands of a preacher who said, we are going to study God's word, so you will know for yourself exactly what God has to say.
It took us a long time to go through each book, and study deep into the word. what a blessing it was for me, as now I do not need anyone to teach me except the Holy Spirit. There are some very good sound preachers out there, but if someone doesn't know their Bible, then how in the world will they know.

You know way back in the seventies when I left the Mormon Church, I began to witness to as many Mormon, Jehovah's Witnesses, and every other cult or aberranth teaching to anyone I could. I found out way back then that doing this, sharing God's truth, does not make one popular. It rather makes people angry when you tell them that their belief doesn't line up with scripture.
Oh that Christians would burn the books of people who have no knowledge of the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY and that they would read again John Wesley, George Whitefield, AW Tozer, Leonard Ravenhill, AW Pink, Charles Spurgeon. If you have read one book of them, you will notice a difference! The Christianity they are teaching and living is so radically different from 21st century preaching. Once you recognize the difference, you notice your own error if you have no prejudice when reading the books of them.
Stand in the ways and see, and ask for the old paths, where the good way is, and walk in it; then you will find rest for your souls. But they said: We will not walk in it.

You are so right, not too many people want to listen. when Bentley was doing his thing at Lakeland and I put out my video on him, the hate and anger that came at me from those who love him, was pretty strong. The force behind this is so evil. It has many in it's grip.

I believe in miracles and God's ability to heal, but I also believe God does not speak against His revealed word in the Bible. Mr. Bentley says God told him to hit people to heal them. This is not God speaking! Guy Peh is another one who says God told him to hit someone to heal them. God does not work contrary to what He already said in the Bible. "If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."
Amen, I believe in miracles too, but miracles will always follow after sound teachings and not what we see from the Word of Faith Movement.
I have seen God do miracles in my own life that where there was no explanation but that is came from God, so I know He does miracles, just not Bentleys way.

When the Holy Spirit made His appearance the first time, doesn't mean it is to be repeated. If you go along with that line of logic, then Jesus would have to be recrusified over and over. There is a foundation that was set, and that is the death and ressurection of Jesus, and the appearance of the Holy Spirit upon those who believed. So what was initial for the foundation of the church, doesn't mean it is to continue the same way. Everything has to taken in it's context.

When a person comes in the name of the Lord and they have false teachings behind them, then all the miracles, signs and wonders are not from God. Jesus was the one who warned us about those who would do these things, so all we have to do is compare the teachings and if the teachings go against scripture, then any miracle that's done is not from God.

I appreciate your kind advice, but I have to say that it is a little misguided. I use to be a Mormon, and if it weren't for people sounding the trumpet of God's truth, I would still be lost in my sins and headed for Hell. There needs to be Christians out in the world, sounding the trumpet and letting the people know about the false teachers and prophets. I am grateful to the Lord that He brought these people my way so I could be saved from my sins, and the error of being in a cult.

AMEN! Why would God give a gold filling and not the enamel he originally made? Why didn't he fix the gums that needed attention in that mouth? We are NEVER taught in God's word to judge truth by miracles. In fact that is the way these people will be deceived through lying signs and wonders. They follow and seek these things because the bible says they have an evil and adulterous heart. They stray from God's word and use it as a means to SEE miracles instead of not walking by sight but by faith.

That verse in Timothy....God has used that in so many ways in my life. I really like listening to John MacAuthor. I use to listen to his Father Jack MacAuthor. What a man of God he was. Yes, the attacks come pretty hard and often too. The "gold teeth miracle" was investigated once. In one case, a minister who claimed this happened to him FORGOT that his dentist had put a gold crown in his mouth a few years back. How ridiculous is that?
Someone else made this point about the symbolism of gold. When Moses came down the mountain after receiving the 10 commandments, the people were worshipping a golden calf. So, while Moses found the true God, those with itching ears found the fake one. How interesting!
Linda, I have to retract what I just said about this minister. Last night I did some dirt-digging on him as well as reflection on his teachings. It turns out he is diametrically opposed to the teachings of Kenneth Hagin and Kenneth Copeland in private to his staff and in public in his teachings. I also remember writing about this gold tooth deal to the staff member who writes those who have questions. He said he is not aware of any shadiness or any gold glitter or gold teeth happening.
When I saw this, I made an entry into the comment section saying "Did I miss an episode?", referring to the gold fillings. Admittedly I was being a smart alec, but honestly, I could not let that one go by without pointing it out. The ministry then deleted my comment and I got an email with a very terse note asking what I was referring to (from his personal assistant.) When I asked about this, she said she didn't know what I was talking about, gave me the runaround, then denied it.

I noticed you included a pix of someone with a gold tooth. There is this TV minister I listen to who is very down to earth; he doesn't sweat or shout or hyperventilate. On his praise/comment section of his website, a woman who saw him when he came to her country praised God for her new gold fillings (when he prayed for her.) Continued....
One night while up, I was channel surfing and saw this stage full of young people and instruments. It seemed like a church but it wasn't obvious. The people were singing a phrase over and over again. They looked like they were in a trance. It was really weird. I didn't like the "feel" of this at all and turned the channel. Later I found out this was Todd Bentley's "church".
The music that Todd Bentley uses does put people in a hypnotic state, which leaves them vulnerable to anything that is being spoken to them. My thinking is quite charismatic, so my objection to them is not their supernatural outlook, only that they do not have the reality they speak about so counterfeit it rather than confess their backsliding; and in doing so they go overboard and twist the thing. For myself that meant a nervous breakdown and 12 years more or less an invalid

Acutally, Christ's return in 40 days comes from the Biblical time line of history, and is supported by 50+ Biblical signs and proofs. Unless you claim Camping wrote the Bible, he is not the originator of this date. The Biblical time testifies human history was designed before it ever began. By the Lord's mercy, He is using His Heirs to warn the world (Ezek 33:1-10). Those claiming they are 'saved', but we can't know the time, are headed for Judgment Day (I Thes 5:2-3).

Jesus Christ made sure we have the Bible so we know what's happening now and how the future is going to go. No need for a prophet to tell us what God has already told us. The gifts never ended, prophecy never ceased nor did tongues silenced, this will occur at death or the 1,000 year reign. I work in the gifts, I prophecy, I speak in tongues. The holy spirit moves thru those willing to be used. Joel prophesied in the last days prophecy will still occur. As a pentecostal believer, I believe in the gifts and the gifts are relevant today.

Paul also scolded the church for seeking after tongues. He also said this is the least of the gifts, and yet because it is a seen gift, everybody seeks after a gift that Paul said not to seek after. That gift is being abused big time today.

Any Believer who speaks from the Bible who is speaking and warning about the last days. Read Revelation because it explains that who ever speaks on the last days is prophecying. It's not a special postion as in the OT times.
Believers need to be more careful in what they seek for. Most want tongues for fleshy reasons. They need to read where Paul scolds the church for seeking after a gift that is the very least of the gifts.

Yes, it costs big time. When I was a New Ager I got along with pretty well everyone, because there were no absolutes.Since becoming a Christian two years ago I see the circle getting smaller. I feel blessed to have a sister like you Linda. I pray for the maturity, long suffering, patience, mercy and love that are clearly shown in your walk with Christ- it takes real love to warn the sheep of danger, even at the cost of being shunned. I just don't understand why the sheeple can't see the danger in following, defending and promoting extra biblical experience from false teachers such as these. Do people so easily forget how Jim Jones and Marshall Applewhite came to lead seemingly intelligent

I understand how you feel. It's beyond me at times to understand how anyone can follow or beleive such people. I too can get sarcastic and even rude at times. Then I have to pray and go apologize to that person for being rude.
I am talking to a person now who believes that The Shack is just the greatest book and how dare I even judge this man for doing so. I try to tell him that it's the man's words that I compare to God's Word that I am doing, but I don't seem to get the message across.

The main problem with the Shack is that it subtly attacks the doctrine of Sola Scriptura. The author is making theological claims in the book. He's presenting his own Christian philosophy, while at the same time putting down the Bible, and saying we should be more interested in experiencing God. But God's Word is still authoritative. If you want to hear God's voice, just open up the Bible and read it. So many people don't know any better and take the Shack for face value.

Mr. Young is a strong supporter of the Emergent Movement. He speaks at their meetings and endorses what they teach, which is, the road to God is many, and Jesus is just one of those roads. Way too many mainline Christain churches have gone Emergent now and love the book, the shack.
I do believe when Paul spoke about men not wanting sound doctrine and apostasy, that we are in the midst of this apostasy. It's everywhere. Churches lining themselves up with false teachers and watered down gospel

Yes, it's very scary. There has always been heresy in the world, but never before has it so polluted and mingled with the Body of Christ. Very scary times. These videos of charlatans are so sad and depressing. People eat this stuff up, and millions are being deceived. I want to do something to make a difference, to warn people of this apostasy before it deceives them. They see the "signs" and "miracles," and it becomes very difficult to convince them otherwise.

Yes this the Christ having sin nature doesn´t feel right in the heart, even I could have enough faith that the Christ had won it anyway.
But you are little wrong about virgin birth. The Christ was born of a virgin but romans 1:3,4 says He was seed of David according to flesh and by Spirit the Son of God. So He had a mother who had sin nature.......well catholics might not like this truth.

Jesus was both God and man. He was without sin but yet tempted by Satan. Yet, he was without the sin nature. The sin nature makes us helpless to sin, we can not do but obey it, and that is why Jesus didn't have a sin nature.
Otherwise, there wouldn't have been this need to be born of a virgin.

I thought it it why it is not said flesh and blood or come as a man but has come in the flesh. I do not know the greek word which is used as flesh here but if it is sarx then it means sin nature.

Paul said that Apostasy would run wild before Jesus came back. Apostasy means to move away from the truth.
Rodney Howard Brown, Benny Hinn and others from the Word of Faith Movement deny many facts about Jesus, and say things that are not in the Bible about Him.
I know it's hard to hear something like this. When I first heard how bad the Mormon doctrine was, it took me two years to finally see that it is a bad cult.

I know it's hard to let go of something that's been taught, but you must believe what the word of God says over what Brown has taught.

I think they might be more like Jehovah Witness or Mormons or in the New Age.
I think R. Howard-Browne stays pretty good in the scriptures. In His meetings he often read a long text from the Bible like one Psalm. And he trusts in the word of God.
He just gave me as a gift a book "seeing Jesus as He really is." I think it is very faith lifting book about God´s mercy and power.

I might shock you but I like very much the ministry and teachings of Rodney Howard-Browne.
I sometimes watch Benny Hinn from finnish christian TV but lately the programs have been only giving money to that ministry. I love the Gospel and know Bennny Hinn had preached it too.
I was also healed through the Lakeland revival when Todd Bentley asked us to touch TV to recieve a healing.

The one thing about any man that is an evangelist is, does he preach the word of God, and do it in context.
After much review of Rodney Howard Brown, he has taken scripture and twisted it.
I know you may not like what I say, but this man has done many things in the name of God that are not scriptural, and actually goes against the Bible.
I am sure he is a very nice man, but his teachings are not sound Bible teaching.

The Bible is real clear on false prophets.
In times of old their punishemt was death by stoning. Benny Hinn has made direct prophecies and given dates when they would happen. They never came to pass, and if anything, the Homosexual community in which he said God would destroy, is flourishing and growing rapidly.
I do not doubt of your healing. Jesus said that false prophets would come and be able to do great signs and wonders.

We are one with God and have a mind of Christ when we are born again and we are going to judge angels with Jesus and if I remember right we are like Jesus was in earth in Heaven.

We are little gods? Never heard of that, but in the Old Testament is said that those who hear the word of God will be gods or something. Jehovah Witnesses use that when is talked about that Jesus is God. It is also in the Gospels because Jesus lend it from the Old Testament when He was accused of saying He is God. Do you find it?

The only references of other gods is either false gods, OR the judges of the Law. They were called gods of the law because they oversaw the law. As for us being small gods, no there is no such scripture to back that up.
Jesus did claim to be God, and it's throughout the gospels.

Yes, we do become children of God, but in the context of Benny Hinn and others from the word of faith movement, is that we become divine, like God. You have to look at the false prophecies of Benny Hinn. He has many of them, and according to God, all it takes is one false prophecy to be a false prophet.

it confuses me why ppl feel they MUST FOLLOW someone. read 1 Cr 3:1-4 it talks about how if there is quarreling among us about the Word then we are carnal not spiritual. and then it goes on to say about these carnal people who say "i follow Paul" or "i follow Apollos".
we are to FOLLOW JESUS... NOT MEN. men simply give messages but the Word of God tells us to TEST EVERYTHING.

It took us a long time to go through each book, and study deep into the word. what a blessing it was for me, as now I do not need anyone to teach me except the Holy Spirit. There are some very good sound preachers out there, but if someone doesn't know their Bible, then how in the world will they know.
We have a responsibility to study God's word so we will grow in the knowledge of God's word, know how to rightly divide, and know truth from error.

You know way back in the seventies when I left the Mormon Church, I began to witness to as many Mormon, Jehovah's Witnesses, and every other cult or aberranth teaching to anyone I could. I found out way back then that doing this, sharing God's truth, does not make one popular. It rather makes people angry when you tell them that their belief doesn't line up with scripture.

Oh that Christians would burn the books of people who have no knowledge of the LORD GOD ALMIGHTY and that they would read again John Wesley, George Whitefield, AW Tozer, Leonard Ravenhill, AW Pink, Charles Spurgeon. If you have read one book of them, you will notice a difference! The Christianity they are teaching and living is so radically different from 21st century preaching. Once you recognize the difference, you notice your own error if you have no prejudice when reading the books of them.

I believe in miracles and God's ability to heal, but I also believe God does not speak against His revealed word in the Bible. Mr. Bentley says God told him to hit people to heal them. This is not God speaking! Guy Peh is another one who says God told him to hit someone to heal them. God does not work contrary to what He already said in the Bible. "If they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them."

Amen, I believe in miracles too, but miracles will always follow after sound teachings and not what we see from the Word of Faith Movement.
I have seen God do miracles in my own life that where there was no explanation but that is came from God, so I know He does miracles, just not Bentleys way.

When the Holy Spirit made His appearance the first time, doesn't mean it is to be repeated. If you go along with that line of logic, then Jesus would have to be recrusified over and over. There is a foundation that was set, and that is the death and ressurection of Jesus, and the appearance of the Holy Spirit upon those who believed. So what was initial for the foundation of the church, doesn't mean it is to continue the same way. Everything has to taken in it's context.

Jesus was the one who warned us about those who would do these things, so all we have to do is compare the teachings and if the teachings go against scripture, then any miracle that's done is not from God.

I appreciate your kind advice, but I have to say that it is a little misguided. I use to be a Mormon, and if it weren't for people sounding the trumpet of God's truth, I would still be lost in my sins and headed for Hell. There needs to be Christians out in the world, sounding the trumpet and letting the people know about the false teachers and prophets. I am grateful to the Lord that He brought these people my way so I could be saved from my sins, and the error of being in a cult.

AMEN! Why would God give a gold filling and not the enamel he originally made? Why didn't he fix the gums that needed attention in that mouth? We are NEVER taught in God's word to judge truth by miracles. In fact that is the way these people will be deceived through lying signs and wonders. They follow and seek these things because the bible says they have an evil and adulterous heart. They stray from God's word and use it as a means to SEE miracles instead of not walking by sight but by faith.

I really like listening to John MacAuthor. I use to listen to his Father Jack MacAuthor. What a man of God he was. Yes, the attacks come pretty hard and often too. The "gold teeth miracle" was investigated once. In one case, a minister who claimed this happened to him FORGOT that his dentist had put a gold crown in his mouth a few years back. How ridiculous is that?
Someone else made this point about the symbolism of gold. When Moses came down the mountain after receiving the 10 commandments, the people were worshipping a golden calf. So, while Moses found the true God, those with itching ears found the fake one. How interesting!

Linda, I have to retract what I just said about this minister. Last night I did some dirt-digging on him as well as reflection on his teachings. It turns out he is diametrically opposed to the teachings of Kenneth Hagin and Kenneth Copeland in private to his staff and in public in his teachings. I also remember writing about this gold tooth deal to the staff member who writes those who have questions. He said he is not aware of any shadiness or any gold glitter or gold teeth happening.

Admittedly I was being a smart alec, but honestly, I could not let that one go by without pointing it out. The ministry then deleted my comment and I got an email with a very terse note asking what I was referring to (from his personal assistant.) When I asked about this, she said she didn't know what I was talking about, gave me the runaround, then denied it.

I noticed you included a pix of someone with a gold tooth. There is this TV minister I listen to who is very down to earth; he doesn't sweat or shout or hyperventilate. On his praise/comment section of his website, a woman who saw him when he came to her country praised God for her new gold fillings (when he prayed for her.) Continued....

Beautiful music on this video!!
One night while up, I was channel surfing and saw this stage full of young people and instruments. It seemed like a church but it wasn't obvious. The people were singing a phrase over and over again. They looked like they were in a trance. It was really weird. I didn't like the "feel" of this at all and turned the channel. Later I found out this was Todd Bentley's "church".

The music that Todd Bentley uses does put people in a hypnotic state, which leaves them vulnerable to anything that is being spoken to them. The Holy Spirit was definately giveing you the red flag on him. I just wish others would listen to the Holy Spirit on this. Thank you for your comment. God bless, Linda

You know what else causes losing christian friends? it's when you have to say, abortion is murder to another christian who says abortion is fine...sad, so very very sad.

I can't imagine any sincere Bible believing Christian would thinks abortion is ok. You'd have to be a goat amongst sheep imho.

I can't either. I went the rounds with a person who calls themselves a pastor saying a woman has the right to have an abortion..then a woman who says she's christian agreed...it just goes to show that the tares are among us. we don't have to be theologians to know that abortion is wrong and it's murder...so sad to have to have this kind of discussion with someone who claims a ministry of being a pastor and someone who calls themselves a christian...

The only question is this- is an unborn baby a human being? If so (which common sense and science both confirm)- then it is murder. The Word of God says not to commit murder, how much more clear can the debate get for a supposed follower of Jesus Christ?
I once watched an old farmer showing the thousands year old technique of separating the wheat from the tares so that the tares may be thrown into the fire. Soon our Lord will be doing the same- may they repent before it's too late!
