I really liked that tent scene too. The Edward-Jacob dynamic was fun & I thought that particular section was well-written.
And- yup.... the last book was bad. It didn't quite ruin the entire series for me, because I had such a good time reading the first three, but it was poorly written & a pretty big let down.
@merrymakeupmadness I didnt mean to insult you :( I take my words back :(. Please cheer up. you look too young and I was I think jealous from your geogous personality. You are rock. Take care.
I really enjoyed your review on the twilight books. I ended up watching the movie by force and thought it was mediocre but was told the books were better. Definitely Eclipse was my fav as well and I'm not a big fan of Breaking Dawn. I started to skim through the pages toward the end of the chapters because I was waiting for the exciting part to happen already (it was way too draggy) but like you said it never does. Maybe the movie will be better minus the graphic part of Nessie's birth.
Yeah, I totally agree with your critique of the last book. I'm worried how that book will translate onto film if they do make it into a movie. Ugh!
Do you like Anne Rice? I started reading her novels when I was in middle school and I'm 22 now and still love them. I think she's amazing. She's the queen of vampire books, but if you like that genre then I'm sure you've read her books. The mayfair series is good too.
I'm actually really hoping that they don't make BD a movie. . . It would give the kids noghtmares!
and I've read a bunch of her books, but I fell that she is way wayyyyyy descriptive, which is good, but it also makes the book drag a bit. But she definitely has some of the best books in the genre.
and if you read the other books, you know what imprinting is, sam imprinted on emily. . . that's about all I can tell you without completely spoiling it :o)
Yeah I heard that House of Night is another good series for teens, I think I'm going to try out the Sookie Stackhouse True Blood series because it's more for adults...

In defense of S. Meyers she said that she didn't write her books for young adults they took out the sex scenes so they could be marketed to teens.
