You don't have to have a joystick to play.

There are many players playing it and it look much better than the old version shown in this video.

Yep, you can even fly to the alps mountains and fly through teh valleys. Unfortunently unlike most of the playable map, that area has not revieced any new texturing and is not pretty.

is it the same as how flight simulator looks when your not flying over the main area?

Parts of the map are not really "used", eg Alps, Scotish Highlands.. they are mapped accurately and depicted but dont have towns roads etc, and are not of the highest artistic quality... The main area, Northern France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Holland, Southern England and Western Germany (Where the fighting takes place)are fully populated with towns, roads, railways, ports etc, and are a pretty big area to play in!! (The scale is 1:2 with real life map)

BTW, I remember you VFA25 guys, you were good opponents for me back in the day. When I flew my Bf-110 rarely did a Hawk ever get to hit me. I loved hunting H75s, they were easy kills for my Zestroier.

I can't believe that people actually pay to play this game. It was awesome, I have to admit that, but I never payed for it. There was a trail you could use for like a week or two. When that time ended you could just use it again, with a new name. But you can't do that anymore.. :( wish I could play this for free..
