It's a western mix melody. As a Mizrahi Jew, I think I will stick with the middle eastern melody. I sounds more genuine and Semitic to me.
Anyway, are these people Jews? It's hard to tell now a days because there are many western people who are Jews for Jesus.

@JewishSong I think it was composed by Shlomo Carlebach, who was more chabad than breslov, but hardly a J for J :)
