My SOHC turbo 1G sedan ran a 13.7@106.xx mph (first night drag racing, ATCO, NJ) vs. a stock 2004 SRT-4 which ran 14.0 (don't remember the trap speed). This video brought a tear to my eye, reminds of that night. Great memories. I miss that car. It will live again

@boostedfools Word, Thanks. I bought the AGP but heard mixed things. Either it was real shitty or gave big difference in performance. I've heard they work really well with the mopar ecu. Know if that's true?
Boost falls from 20 to 16psi? Don't you think you should fix that? WTF is the point in modifying your car to still run at factory boost levels? I called the SRT4 time on the money when I watched this show on speed, the 1st gen needs a fucking driver mod. I should be a 12 second car.
@rextuner03 It actually spikes at 24psi in 4th gear and falls to probably 18ish. It's not factory boost levels, why do you think the car runs faster than stock? It's just not very easy to hold high levels of boost on the stock turbo...
@boostedfools Ok then why even run high boost if it won't hold it? That is just stupid ad hell run the car where it hold because all you're doing is wasting time and hurting your engine by running high boost on that set up.
@rextuner03 because it makes my car faster, just because it doesn't hold till redline doesn't mean I'm not benefiting from it. It's not wasting time or hurting my engine, don't worry. I've had it like this for 50k miles.
@boostedfools Actually it doesn't make your car faster, a 13.4? That is pretty much right on the money for stock 1/4 mile time. And it's not so much the turbo that has problems holding the boost as your BOV and exhaust. If you are running both of those stock then that is hurting your boost pressure as well. 24psi on stock internals on ANY motor other than the supra 2JZ is crazy. I am AMAZED that you haven't spun a bearing or blown a valve or even your head gasket.
@rextuner03 13.9-14.1 are stock SRT-4 times so I'm gaining about .5 seconds. The BOV has nothing to do with holding boost (unless its leaking) so keeping it stock isn't a problem. No problems to date :-) thanks for the comment.
@spamburglar808 All the guys that I know that run that much boost on a stock motor get some nasty blow by and it just runs bad. 4G63's also blow out the dip stick all the time from the blow by. Subaru motors are better :P
@rextuner03 dude i saw your rex, if you would have done the same things on a stock 4g63 your honestly telling me your subaru is gonna put down more power........cmon.....really ....and yea its true on stock motors the dipsticks pop out during a pull, but with it secured it doesnt affect the performance, i have friends here with just dsmlink, clutch, cams and they run 26psi and fuckn boogy. btw, just curious, whats your actual dyno numbers
@spamburglar808 I got it dyno tuned last week with 312whp 307wtq on a 91 octane tune. I could have gone a little more but I don't want to stress the internals anymore than they already are. You can actually push the stock EJ20 internals to around 400whp but that's a big roll of the dice. Me personally I am sticking with conservative until I can get a built EJ25 closed deck with some cams and head work. THEN we will be talkin lol. I have a PPG Straight cut Synchro set on the way right now.
