It just.....doesn't get any cooler than this. It just doesn't. The post-apocalyptic radioactive desert, the syber-western music and CARL MC-FUCKING-COY briniging disaster to humanity!!!!
i remember the film well.i loved the music so i ran out and ordered it on original cd. and i still have it.this is what you want ,this is what you get. (the order of death) track is fantastic
I read this nice (probably bullsh*t) story of how they didn't bother to make a costume for McCoy. They slapped a backpack and a gas mask on him and stuck him in the movie in his regular clothes, and he blended right in.
Like I said, probably bull, but still a nice story. :-)
You couldn't be more wrong. It's not about a robot built to infiltrate humans, it's about a robot that was built for war, it was found and brought into an apartment where it re-activated itself... how is that like Terminator? There's no resistance, no john connor.....?????
@conradragzoff Ill have to go back and watch this but I believe its about the governments attempt at creating a machine for depopulation. I dont remember if it was scrapped at the last minute or intentionally left out there but I THOUGHT that was the point after watching the whole thing.
@tangoakathx I'll re-watch it too, since it's sitting on my shelf at the moment, but from what I remember it was a mechanized soldier prototype that they wound up scrapping because of the whole "can't handle water" thing...
I am currently remastering this DVD show to the director so to get a better version out there. This is a laserdisk Rip to DVD and re-Compressed onto a low quality set of .vob files. I dvd the rip (which color balance is way off, isn s'tharp at al, especially for Pal format, it is just pathetic; I have taken it upon myself to clean up this crappy job. Look for a re-release in the next 6 months or so.
Dylan McDermott was the in-between of Blade Runner (82) and Children Of Men (06). He was perfect for this post-apocolyptic classic. He plays a real war-torn rugged realistic man as opposed to some super-human kungfu horseshit you usually see. Great movie.
Amazing... can´t wait to see this movie on DVD! (Just found it at Ebay)
The setting of the film fits IMHO very well to the image of the "spaghetti western" movies which is connected with the Fields... and nobody could play the role of the nomad, the zone tripper better than Carl McCoy- this role seems to be perfectly made for him.
I love this movie am a huge FOTN fan also and this never gets shown on SCI FI network just like that movie from the 70s ZARDOZ they would have to cut out too much
This is a very good movie. Like Warbeast/ Deathmachine. Low budget, but very cool! Great soundtrack. Totally endtime. This is what you want, this is what you get...
This was filmed when the future didnt include Prius's and 1 gigs of of memory was some geeks wet dream.Hey wasn't the futre suppose to be all flying cars and crap?Oh well, good movie non-tha-less.
I saw this movie in the theaters when it first came out but had no idea Carl was in it beforehand. As soon as the drifter appeared on the screen I was very excited that it was him. He is not in the film long, but he commands attention every time he is on screen.
COOL, AWESOME, I read about this being a cult movie but I 've only seen 2 photos of it in a magazine, first time I get to watch a glimpse of it, thanks for posting the video man !!
This is Angry Bob, a man with industrial dick... Loakk at the sky, nature never knew coulors like that! It is work of art... and for the good news... There is no fucking good news!!!!
One of the best robot films ever, Got this on VHS and german DVD....legend of a film. A new remastered print is needed! Want the soundtrack too but its rare as hell.
According to Stanley himself, there will be a proper DVD released this year and even a theatrical re-release. The soundtrack can be downloaded from the fansite everythingisundercontrol.

iv got this on video im in the uk and its defo called hardware totally under rated the only thing that bug me with the movie are american accents (its a british movie)but it is a an awesome movie kinda like a british terminator awesome soundtrack and cameos from lemmy and iggy pop hugely entertaining i suggest everyone who stumbles on this clip buys the movie
There is a DVD out there. Just bought it, it's RED EDITION, it's good as far as I can tell (got used to choppy VHS quality, so I'm no pro), over here in Europe it's called M.A.R.K. 13. The movie I found extremley entertaining, a bit too over the top but its atmosphere stuck with me for years. When I watched it lately I was like in paradise. Let's not forget about those apocalyptic B Movies (Pyun anyone?)
what a movie. and lemmy has a cameo!! cant ask for more than that

You don't mean the original Terminator film, surely? That came out 6 years before Hardware...

And Im supposed to remember in what order they came? ;)
