Well now, where do I sign up for one? My 2005 Prius is long in the tooth and I would love somemore interior space. The 100 mile range is just right for my daily driving needs. I've wanted to upgrage to the Highlander hybrid, but the gas milage was not very attractive. Now my wishes and desire of something larger than a Prius with the smae or better gas milage has been answered. Yes I know I use the term gas mileage, but I will still have to fuel it with electricity.

Finally they are dusting there RAV4 EV as if they could not get this one sooner the had one from 1997 to 2003 and if you look for rav 4 ev on U tube you will see that it work real fine for those customer and they are happy with them so why not continue to sell until they had a replacement ?

@jvrdlc I hope you're right. I would like to see Toyota have three (3) versions of the RAV4: legacy technologies (gas), plug-in hybrid, and pure EV. There is no single technology that provides a "silver bullet" to our energy problems.

This type of EV will be Great. For us who give a shit. No noise, no pollution, lots of power and torque and it looks live a normal SUV. I know that the electricity is mostly from burning fossil fuels. Thats why this is just one of the steps needed for a cleaner Earth. For instance as soon as we can get Big Oil to stop controlling our Goverment. We can focus on sources of energy that are completely nontoxic nd dont destroy the ecosystem around them. Just remember we are also part of the ecosystem
