    Don't surround yourself with yourself

  • Incredible.

  • This is a great song, which kind of reminds me of a band I've heard a few days ago, Aperco. Hear the similarity at their channel apercoband

  • YES, I think they are the best musicians as a band in rock history, or atleast among the top 5 ever in my opinion.

  • whenever i feel like shit, i listen to this and i instantly feel awesome....Yes rocks

  • CARTMAN SAYS!!!!!!!!!!! KICK ASS !!!!!!!!

  • yes is what music once was even at there age they can out play all the crap bands of today rock on ye

  • Extra Loud Monitors!

  • Extra loud monitors i think!

  • What the hell's happening to Steve Howe @ 2:24? Looks like he's about to go into a seizure or lost his balance? Seriously.

  • Love this song, but its great, its about chess.. love that dam game..I play it only for fun. I can hold my own. I love chess and this song is just great have been a fan for a loooooooooong time..

  • My favorite "YES" song

  • originally released in 71? Impressive! Nice upload, thanks matic3060

  • With love and care everybody, I wish all good people on this earth could pass love on, and see that there is some good left.

  • "Don't surround yourself with yourself". Yes gave us plenty of great sounds, and little gems of advice. Thanks

  • Oh yes, I dig YES. Always loved their album art too, Buddy.

  • i like hippies . they're peaceful much like yes and their songs

  • Wow, takes me back to really great times. Friends house, circle of friends, dream like state, no cares, safe, loved, candle in the middle of the floor, incense, strange how music can take you on a soul journey

  • Don't surround yourself with yourself!" <3 to all you CreativeBeasts. :) xoxo

  • Folk, electronic rock, country, classical; some people have a difficult time "getting" what is appealing about Yes! :-)

  • @annwags Yes is like a fine wine. Most people dont understand good wine from bad when they are young. Over time some begin to appreciate good wine from the bad.

  • steve howe looked like he had a seizure at 2:25

  • @mooncrsher My comment should have read,"HORSESH*T!!!!! I've had seizures=[ & this song beats that anyday!

  • @mooncrsher hey im not complaining....i dont care what he does as hes playing..nothing could take away from his amazing playing

  • @beatleskillvanhalen No bad vibes meant =]; merely making statement. ANY song beats a seizure. Even rap. YES brings back lots of good memories.

  • You know Steve Howe looked fairly handsome and groomed in this video.. What happened to him anyway? He looks like he got run over by an ugly truck than beaten with an ugly log then got poked a few times with an ugly stick then brushed his teeth with an ugly twigbrush.

    GREAT GUITARIST THO!

  • Boy you are DEEP!

  • Kmat) Boy you are DEEP!

  • @KMatteKudasaiC sorry we all can't age that gracefully who gives a fXck what he looks like he's a great player and that should be all that matters..

  • I love this song!!

  • Hey, all apologies for the stupid question, but what is the intro song?

  • @VAIou812 that's the song, the better part of the song too.

  • you probably know, but it is the same song :)

  • what is the open chord here at the beginning?

  • omen

the gbig outside by woodenheaned pretended

  • he did a good job on the Legend soundtrack

  • Just Great...thanks for posting this.....

  • They snuck in John Lennon's Give Peace a Chance. How cool. Yes, that's Jon Yes.

  • is this john anderson singing?

  • cool intro!

  • did u seriously copy this

  • yo was this at PNC?

  • In response to Kickdrum09 about what happened to Steve Howe at time code 2:24: Watch him carefully at the end of his "siezure" where he smiles as he approaches the mic. For those of you who are either not performing musicians or have never been on large venue stages before. Note that the siezure begins when the band comes up loud. Without a doubt there was way too much keyboard in his stage monitor and he wasn't expecting it. Mystery solved.

  • Yep. Definitely looks like a massive wedge blast sent him backing away.

Interestingly, he singing pretty flat in the sections before and shooting looks over his shoulder to the monitor desk. Perhaps an intended increase in Steve vocal monitor resulted in a really loud blast of organ.

  • Love, love, love, love, LOVE IT!!!!

  • I've seen all good people ....

    Hippies!!!everyone of them!!

  • @78rohan Amen to that!!!

  • @78rohan whatever if you knew good music you would know that this is a good song! And if you dont like it,why look it up smart one?

  • @78rohan Ya sais the person that commented on a video with 0 dislikes currently GET A LIFE!!!

  • @78rohan Ya says the person that commented on a video with 0 dislikes currently GET A LIFE!!!

  • I'm always impressed with Yes these years, unlike when I was younger. I geuss I wised up with age.

  • What's going on w/Steve at 2:24? It almost looks like he's having a seizure, but he seems ok after that.

  • haha I think he is making a joke about something,,, maybe the volume

  • I think he was just joking around about how much volume the band kicked in with.

  • Wonderful . . .

Jon laughes about something at 1:15 and about loses it.

  • Comment removed

  • I love the life's just a game of chess analogy, and all we are saying is give peace a chance!

  • They can make it look so easy.

  • hes a great singe.. and i love this song.. but hes very out of tune when he sings live.. more than most singers

  • I've seen Yes live many times and Jon is rarely off key. It's Steve Howe thats off a lot.

  • i agree w/ you , alls you have to do is listen ...Jon is pretty much on key, now sometimes their harmonies are off, so it might be Steve or Chris thats off a bit.

  • Excellent musicianship and vocals! Unlike MANY of the bands today.

  • eeeeeeeeeexelent!!

  • You know, according to his advice, he's setting you up for fool's mate.

  • does Steve nearly fall on his ass right before he changes his electric?

  • Yeah... stage fright? It was right when the big ol organs came in. XD

  • deff agreed

most under rated band in history

  • Best band of all time.

  • chess? life? timing? great song.

  • I can't figure it out, this song is brilliantly simple....and yet even from his hand positions I can't tell what chords he's playing. I've got that "E" is the first one...but that's it. Anyone know what the other 3 are for the intro?

  • Oh, I recognize that chord sequence, it's been used in like 48 thousand songs. I'm not saying this isn't a great song of course. Anyway, you don't have to reposition your fingers or anything - after the E it's

    [x44200] then

    [x66400] then back down to

    [*44200]

  • I oughta try that.

  • I kinda wish Jon would've played the chords earlier, it gives Steve more room to improvise, and it sounds really great too.

  • i got this song on the 'almost famous soundtrack' its awesome!

  • his voice is timeless

  • men with high voices are well remembered. ha ha just kidding. yeah hes a talented singer.

  • this is his best singing and performance.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG!!!! the only thing i thought was wierd was that his son is named Damien. just a thought

  • This is friggin awesome! You know that John Lennon loved this song, right?

  • Steve Howe is awesome!

  • these guys STILL rock! LOVE this song, it never gets old.

  • Heerlijk dat kerkorgel op de achtergrond

  • i love this song
