We have lost the war in Iraq, because we went in with one obscure purpose, and after years, we're still their, pissing away our resources as if we're actually accomplishing something.

More soldiers in a volatile region that deeply resents us will = more American soldiers dead there. And if all the soldiers left Iraq, none of them need die in Iraq. Straight unarguable logic, like it or not. What constitutes victory in Iraq? What exactly are our soldiers supposed to be doing? Few speak the language or understand the dynamics of the region. Bring them home if we really want to keep them alive.

"If I support escalation, I don't support the troops"? Interesting, does that go in the same category as telling the troops they're dying for nothing, and that they're not making any progress? Because, you know, I thought THAT was a pretty good example of not supporting the troops.

We're either going to be fighting over there or fighting over here. That's the way it works. WE'RE fighting over there so YOU can be safe here. The least you can do is just pretend to have a positive attitude while your friends and I do the dirty work, because it must be done. Dying for nothing? Do you have any idea what will happen to that stabalization of that region if it's only security force is gone? We'll end up back over there in a few years because the UN will decide "something needs to be done"; this war will NOT stop just because the United States retreats from Iraq. It will get worse, and more will die. What part of that can't you understand.

Wrong. more troops = faster victory. the democrats want to cut funding for us, AND not send us back up. In other words the dems want to helps us by keeping us from getting everything we need. Bad idea. Costly mistake. This war will be one only after sufficient forces are there for sufficient time, cutting troops and resources is a sure road to defeat and much more loss of lives, soldier and civilian both.

If these guys wanted to be part of the decision making process instead of where the bullet meets the bone they should have gone into politics. Retreat is not the answer, "The Slow Bleed" would be just as devastating as it sounds, the ONLY way to win this war is ESCALATION. The more troops in Iraq, the faster we get to an end and the faster the troops come home. Let your president do his job!

The situation in Iraq sucks, but it's not going away by itself. Our grandfathers paid a much higher price so that we can be sitting here selfishly enjoying such freedoms as VOLUNTARY enlistment in our outstanding military. No recruiter ever told anyone they could pick the wars they fight in, when you put that uniform on you're making a pledge to your country. As soldiers we fight where we're told and win where we fight.

Only a fool likes war, but it is a necessary sacrifice that must be made again and again. George Bush does not want the soldiers over here dieing in Iraq and believe me - We don't want to be here either, but we do want that which can only be purchased by War and all its unpleasantries.. We all want democratic freedom and peace but few understand what that means. They show 6 vets here promoting cut and run, but I could show you 6,000 vets supporting victory.

Yeah, especially that one vet, Robert Loria. It was so deceptive how they made it look like he lost an arm. WAKE UP! The Iraq war long ago left partisanship ideology behind. Even the righteous folks who volunteered to defend us have come to see that. Labeling these Iraq war vets as dupes of the left is shockingly disrespectful.
