Hi I'm Meetong from Philippines....Can you try design a water chamber within your stove so once it boils it will definitely gives off air pressure. With this alternative to eliminate the use of battery and a fan. What do you think?
Im Meetong of Philippines. I would like to ask you regarding the fan below if it wasnt affected by the heat?? Or maybe later use it will be melting???
That is so cool! How do you control the electricity to the fan? Probably in other vids... How long does such a burn last before needing to add more alcohol and do you think there is a safe way to connect a controllable alcohol feed line to the stove? Maybe some thin copper pipe directed so it doesn't get too hot? As always good work, I'm inspired yet again!
Thanks Hiram! Thats awesome work. The whirlpool of flames looks really neat. Im just starting my stove making journey myself so I appreciate video and the sharing of info.
The flames are turned off by blowing air collision inhalation. I want to at an angle of secondary air holes. The flow and rotation, JSB enjoy a high combustion efficiency by burning cyclone.
Hiram, that was too cool for words. Quite possibly the nicest alcohol stove I have ever seen. Great flame control and elegantly crafted little stove. Yep, youve just made the stove hall of flame in my book! Max must be proud, Nat
Hi Nat. Just following a suggestion given to me by Tim. Still want to try some changes on the hole pattern and a couple of other ideas I have. And thanks. I'm honored to make your Stove Hall of Fame.
For a long time I have been thinking of using an aquarium type air pump, and some copper tubing to create a "bubbler" effect inside of a pressurized alcohol stove and create a similar effect to what you have obtained
That's a great design. It looks like you've created an Afterburner Jet Engine. I hope it doesn't take off on you or you'll have the first cooking stove in space.

By the way, I really appreciate you crediting me for the fan idea. It really made my millenium seeing that so many campers were thrilled by it.

Hi Hiram! Tim here. I love your wonderful skills applied to incorporating a fan into your cottle stove. You did an exellent job.
Why not give her a "whirl" and turn your jet holes with a nail and rotate the cumbustion mixture? : )

A super Idea!!! The boil test is going to answer my questions on heat output I am sure! Like Greywulf stated it is like a jet engine.

That would be a cool name for this series of stoves. Do you mind if I call them "Afterburner" stoves?
hiramcook 2 years ago
I think it's a great name, go ahead and use it.
Greywulf2112 2 years ago
Afterburner would be a great name for this stove. I'll save "Jimmy stove" for my magnum opus which is already in the works.
