  • I have a keyboard that is obviously out of tune. if i apply a pitch bend on it, will it work on the entire keys, or only in one?

  • Thank you so much I managed to succeed my first circuit bending thanks to you today. Just one question, I've no clue what potentiometers to use on a 6v keyboard. Have you got a Maplin ref. (UK electronic store) that would be sort of multiuse for this type of project ? What should I look for do determine what's needed ?

  • but how do you know what resistor controls pitch on anything else?

  • @coolbeans123d it's simple. often times the circuits are labeled in very small letters what each component is.

  • So how would you wire in a standard guitar jack socket for an output please?

I've tried wiring one straight from the toys internal speaker connections, but no sound comes out. A friend said something about needing a certain diode or resistor? in the loop.

Can you enlighten me please as to how this is done and what type of diode is required please.

    Many Thanks

  • Couldn't you just remove the resistor and wire the pot in that place for the same effect?

  • Thank you for this video!

  • thanks big help

  • Noob here with a simple Q? How do you know where the ground is located?

  • @marcuelcajon The ground goes to the negative side of the power supply

  • some how ive gone from lightning strikes to this. WTF

  • @PIONEERaudioLOVER thats how i found out about circuit bending, now im bending keyboards

  • you could scare some kids with that thing...

  • Now thére is an idea... I am going to start modding all the toys my friends kids have... and next time I am minding them, well...

  • How do you make one that bends an in put signal?

  • you would have to use a hing hon or barbie karaoke, they have inputs and outputs. The bends in them effect the output

  • p.s. really cool, thanks

  • i want to learn how to circuit bend but i dont know were to get a potentiometer and were to get aligator clips ps. im jus a 14 year old kid

  • as log as you have some change, go to the dollar store for alligator clips and radio shack. You can rip a potentiometer out of anything... old radios and other electronics you can find in a thrift store.

if you have no money at all, ask for just electronics from friends and family.

  • lol what part of a radio is the potentiometer? should i know it? or is it found somewhere in the bowls?

  • A potentiometer is a "knob" like you have on a synthesizer. He presumably had bought the potentiometer in radioshack.

  • the volume control is the potentiometer

and the tuning is a veriable capasitor

  • same with me , broken electronics are graet, rite now i am working on a projectand i am giong to put it on you tube soon

  • omg my pitch bend just turns off the stupid thing, im hoping its just the toy... what kind of potentiometer should i buy? i have a 25k and a 100k ohm both do nothing good

  • Oh man this makes things a lot simpler! Haha I wasn't sure how to find the pitch bend but I didn't know it could just be one of the resistors on the board. I'll be sure to keep my eye out for it

  • great video, keep it up

  • i couild not find the pitch resistor on a keyboard i am trying to bend

    do you have any tips?

  • Teach me master! Actually I am into music and electronics... I really need to find things at garage sales to twist to my audio bidding! Great Video!

  • cool vid, I will peep the others too.
