liking this day to night show. I enjoy they are old colour interviews. fascinating topics that are relevent. I enjoy watching. Anyone have similar shows worth digging up? Thanks
Teller's story as a young scientist is very similar to another Hungarian scientist, John Von Neumann, who also studied chemical engineering as a compromise with his father.
@XKS99 Billions? Do you have any data supporting that remark? Maybe you should ask those sick by radiation, suffering and dying, those who felt and lived with the terror of the Cold War. It is easy to characterize me but stop and think what he promoted. The policies (he took part on supporting various military suggestions about the US policies), the tests, etc.
I am not criticizing the inventor/physicist, I am criticizing his ideology.
When Oppenheimer said that Teller was almost a great man, he was not kidding. I have not heard any scientist who comes across so splendidly Spellbinding! No wonder the US govt took him with all seriousness of purpose.
Büszkének érzem magam, hogy Magyar vagyok, ugyanakkor sajnálom, hogy az olyan nagy emberek mint Teller Ede csak külföldön tudtak érvényesülni. Ahogy Ő is mondta, elhagyták a süllyedő hajót. :(
I wish my father was a scientist.

typical university hyper-professor... See the underlying arrogance...
Dead now.. May God rest his soul as well as the souls of those killed by his inventions.

Read his bio and you will see. Peace.

He was genius. However he shafted Oppenheimer. Unlike Oppenheimer he had no compunction about the invention or use of nuclear weapons.
