  • Burke Whistles are grand.

    Nice work boys.

  • you must used shamisen and taiko with this ^^ it could be awesome and goosebump to ear.

  • That was awesome and inspiring to say the least!

  • This is so good! The techniques of the uilleann pipes player are awsome! The regulators sounds so amazing with that slow air. Could someone tell me which tune the first one is? Greetings from the Netherlands!

  • Amazingly beautiful. iv jst ordered me 1st irish whistle, cant wait to learn, me cousin will b so proud wen i nxt go over to gd owd ire ;)

  • WOW what a dignified culture

  • Utterly amazing, bless your heart friend of Ireland.

  • very very nice! really! gratula érte!

    nagyon nagyon szép! :D

    greetings from Hungary!

  • The bouzouki does the right thing at the right moment. That's good enough to me.

  • Bravo!

  • that

    is

    fucking

    bad

    ass

  • Great music .

How Japanese ~ re: the "stillness " of the man in the middle .

  • Pity about the acoustic.

    Great player, I love the

    bit where he plays the

    duet with the chanter

    and the regulators.

  • Good piper, good technique. But he still has a long way to go before he could equal Davy Spillane.

  • I'M an Irish descendent Aussie and you 'Blokes"(Usually male ) are great.

My oldest(Cameron) is in Japan @ the moment, on his 2nd holiday to Nippon . he loves your country AND he plays the Pipes (scotish) and he loves the Japanese cartoon shows, one of the reasons he's there.

    anyways your music is Great'

    thanks forsharing

    Colin

  • Hi !! I'm in France

who made your pipes?? Lorcan Dunne is not it??

    I play pipes to !!

    all the best!!

  • where do you get these pipes?

  • outstanding performance too bad the acoustics are horrible for the room being performed in.

  • Agreed. The acoustic is terrible. It's a shame, because the music is good.

  • My Father played the Uilleann pipes. I love the sound ,very well played.

I play the Uilleann Pipes and I can tell for sure that these japs rock. Excellent arrangement with the regulators. All 3 instruments inm pitch. Congratulations

  • When you have a really good set of pipes it makes playing a lot easier, not that it's ever easy. This guy has an excellent set and he sure knows what he's doing. He's playing alongside some brilliant musicians. Hatao is the only guy in the known world who owns and plays a Low G whistle (that's the G below D!)

  • I play whistle and percussion in a band, not uilleann. Now that I look more closely I'm seeing some oddities. After he finishes his solo and joins the whistle player in a tune, he seems to hold the chanter off his lap for several notes, not just one. Hmmm, maybe you are on to something.

  • Fake?? That's hilarious. You obviously know nothing about irish pipes. It would take many years of practice to be such a good fake. I play in an irish band.

  • is too good to be real, thats why..

  • I play the uilleann too..

  • It's good because the instrument is perfectly set and correctly played. What is so strange about that ?

I have met a lot a very good musician from Japan playing Irish music. I'm not surprised of such a level of playing.

BTW, there is a concertina on the floor, and I'm quite sure that the guy plays the concertina as well...

  • Certainely not a fake.

  • Beautiful playing.

  • i'm no expert on the uilleann pipes but that sounds great

  • Caroline, that's one instrument, not 2. The thing across his lap is the set of regulators. Great job!

  • Great job!

  • WOW! Brilliant!! - Fascinating instruments too!

    5*

  • Wow! Amazing music!

  • sounds of the highlands ... wow ...

    <3

  • Highlands ? are you certain? In the Scottish Highlands, the pipes are 'War pipes'. A very different instrument...

  • WOO!! I love those Uilleann pipes! First time I see an asian play this.

  • That's Ken Matsusaka on uilleann pipes. Nice piper, I met him in Kyoto last month, and he played the same set of jigs. The tunes are Na Conneries (slow air); Sean Bui ; Christy Barry's ; Haste to the wedding (jigs). Ken plays a Ginsberg set; also makes nice whistles.

  • Goodness, the piper is better than most I've seen from Ireland and America!

  • Hes playing two instruments at the same time!!!

    gorgeous!

    =D

  • No, just one....

  • Names of the tunes anyone?

  • wow!
