Troll below me... any way, I'm back and with a new PC. Intel Core i7 930 (2.8ghz), 6gb ram, 1TB HDD, ATi Radeon HD 5870 (1gb)...still can't launch near as fast as this. This PC is the god of PC's.
@prestb Oh yea! Now running a Intel 2600K at 4.8 Ghz, 16 GB RAM DDR3-1600 8-8-8 (still rocking the same SSD and video card though.) And a load of HDDs.
@kidoman1 Hah! Awesome! And about the haters, it's hilarious how far people will go just to try and be better when really, they're failing even harder by trying. It just makes me laugh HOW MANY people are doing it.
@kidoman1 Haha, yep. I'm just going to guess you're around the Europe area, I'm in the US so it's almost 12 AM. I'd better head off and get some rest, nice talking to ya. G'night...on my part, that is. :D
"On modern computers, this typically involves loading and starting an operating system. The boot sequence is the initial set of operations that the computer performs when power is switched on."
As soon as it says Windows 7 on the bottom, that means the OS has been loaded and the boot is complete. You don't have to log in to complete booting.
@adam3088 I know that. But this is not that simple, I doubt a Win7 bootup depends that much on the drive speed. It's much more CPu speed, if there was so much data to load one wouldn't be able to store the entire installer package on a single-layer DVD. Right, many components of that could be very well-comporessed in order of that, and also updates take much space, neither then Win startup is that much of a drive-intense process (IMHO) Anyway i know what i know that neither mine is much slower:)
What? CPU speed is in no way the deciding factor of boot times as relatively little processing needs to be done, the average Win7 clean installation is 6-8GB roughly, which although you're obviously not loading the whole of into memory during boot is still a lot of data to retrieve at once from a HDD.
I could go and overclock the shit out of my CPU right now but the difference to boot times would be negligible.
@adam3088 haha maybe. hm i never overclock so have no exp with tis. then prolly sum MS secret lol cuz neither thenj this can persuade me that time warps here and what i feel like 10-15 seconds is 1min or so :P anyway, happens what happens with startup times, i dont care. i usually forget the most basic thing about computer speeds, that it is not measured with win startup simply cuz it is not the important factor. i would be ok with 2 min startup if everything else runs smoothly and fast
Fuck you core i7 @ 2600 Sandy bridge boots up in 7 seconds.

Maybe I should make a guide on how to achieve super fast bootup? Maybe the hates will then rethink their stance.

@prestb Thanks mate. A lot of people are disliking the video because they are unable to match the launch time. HAHA. Jealousy at its best.

@FoAMDFun nekem konrétan az egész talán 12-15 másodperc, ami mondjuk arányaiban nézve talán tényleg lényegesen több, de bőven együtt lehet vele élni
